I lost my mind in lucid dreams,
Pull-apart clouds that melt and bleed,
These tiny things my eyes can't see;
Blind to fingers that bend and reach
Like rivers dripping from paper cheeks,
Streams that meet where a heart once beat,
Now a carcass where Silence eats;
A ribcage harness to carry me
And tar-clung breaths,
To serenity,
Discarded as loneliness
Where sadness seethes and sows seeds
To grow a million little pleas for flesh;
And all I reap is this skin
Marked with scars of a reject.

Down here in this hole
Is where I'll be happiest;
My light can't be missed,
If darkness is all my eyes have kissed.

Humble as a ***
I beg for your pardon,
Excuse my hunger pain
My thirst for knowledge,
Like Stephen king
Trying to make a career out of garbage
Sleep standing I never lie Honest?
A dream is a gushing rarity
Throbbing in explicable clarity.
It stretches the walls of imagination
To seamless leaps of pulsate stagnation.

It blows in a raging flight
Racing blindly upon each bend.
A prism to a faulty sight
To see  the beginning  from end.

It cuffs the voice of reason
And frees the mind from prison
To hover and graciously be blown
Forth vast wonderlands unknown.

It tricks the heart to please
And be happy in vanity.
That the sorrows  cease
And we awe in queer insanity.
This is for all dreamers. Find your path in the embrace of your mind.

After childhood sleep,
Of days into dawning,
Shucked of dusted clay,
Eyes set unto fawning,

Then, the rowing began.
Shy gentle waves lulling
As it does for Everyman
Who seeks loves' culling.

In a tempest of blue sky,
I was engulfed so plain,
That time was sore to eye,
All suitors never maidens.

One true love never came,
Nor to fly as birds teeming,
Now all is shipwreck of age,
Ah, but to drown dreaming.

We are the unsung poets
who toil in day for the harvests
then write at night as the wick burns
in the dark slips of our meek turns

We are the unseen poets
who invisibly raise armours
swing pens as the dark evades the light
a strip to the core of the soul, our right

We are the trampled heroes
whose halos are out-shined by thunder
and tongues tied to a word twisted silence
Our heavenly seduction of a naked dance

I am the unsung poet
inspired by love and rhythm of life
transpired by the ounce of human experience
My eternal contract that only makes sense

weightless when heavy:

i feel a constant dread
i am shifting through time
when pinned to the walls
of claustrophobic chambers
i part away the vital parts
of thoughts and battered fragments
i disintegrate into intractable purpose
i disappear, i am finished:

i am past tense

(n.j.)
in a bad headspace. anxiety's kicking in. it's one of those nights where i am trying so hard to drown out the thoughts with music, with alcohol, with anything but i can't really fix what my mind is telling me that's broken.
I'm in a passionate love affair
With the mountains
And the dream of
Escaping
evening loneliness arrives at dawn
and knocks on the dusty windowpane

in the kitchen, i lie — with threadbare arms —
against the shabby wooden cupboard frame

this house is void of all electricity
except for the light bulbs, the fridge, the T.V.

and my steady-beating heart of rhythmic defeat
lying naked across the tear-stained sheets

if you come home and find that i am dead,
perhaps some ***** dishes fell on my head

but most likely, i'll be, in the living room gloom
with a half-drunk bottle of wine to consume

with emergency flares tied to both wrists,
i'll leave you a smile, a sigh, and a kiss
I don't even know...
Before my eyes,
The sea stretches far;
An infinite scroll of chiffon
Rolling and unrolling
In shades of green and sapphire

In its sedate hours of brooding silence
A calm expanse with feeble waves
As if seized by an uncanny lassitude
Lying in majesty
Swirling in ecstasy

Within this mammoth silver submarine,
How many mysterious live forms thrive!
What curious shaped corals, what all sea urchins!
What wealth of fish, what gigantic mammals!

Between the blue sky above
And the blue sea below
I see seagulls fly,
The long beaked pelicans prey,
Grampuses heaving their huge form
Above the calm surface
And the milky spray
Tossing shiny pearls
Upon the stretching naked strands

I can see a distant sail
And the hull of a ship
Gliding over undulating waves
Leaving a frothy trail of foam behind
With water churning and spiraling around
Where sharks and seals and dolphins swim

Piles of silver clouds move above
And the golden sands stretch below
With periwinkles, ***** and shells
Scattered by the receding waves

Splashing tides, dancing weeds
Rising crescendo, falling rhythm

Oh! What a splendid scene
In the rosy gleam of this evening!
What delectable mélange
Of tinkling sensory delights!
