What is it like..

To have someone to
Want to hold your hand,
When you shiver in your sleep,
Or when its too cold
For yourself to keep-

-warm in the arms,
Of the loving embrace,
like the light through the night.
When you're the Earth,
and they hold you into-

-place of the blood driven,
One-stop-heart motel,
As the sign illuminates
No vacancies,
Except when they are around-

-the world that shall give,
Anything but not everything,
A flawless image of imperfection,
Him, her, you.
A present for the forgiven.

So,

How is it like to feel loved,
By someone other than
The ones who taught you
Love existed?
Because I would like to feel that too.

I drink until I feel
Something
Anything
The sickness
Dizziness
Fake happiness
Until I don't feel you
Your touch
Your love
My broken heart
Is drowned in my pool
of alcoholic misery

Who would have thought,
The soft breathe that whispered sweet nothings against my neck every night
Would be the necklace that was choking me?
Somethings can touch you deep inside
Can make you want to cry,
Emotions that you can't describe
No matter how hard you try,

The touch of a tiny baby's hand
The fragrance of a flower,
The simplicity of a grain of sand
Or the significance of an hour,

To see the twinkling stars at night
Or taste the fresh homemade pie,
Who needs to question how or when
Who needs to know where or why?

To hear the angelus ring at six
To know that evening is nigh,
We know there's got to be
Somebody bigger than you and I.

Looking at the rainbow
The colours envelope your mind
Rubies, ambers and turquioise
Peach skins and orange rind.
Strawberries and lemons in the sky
with apricots inbetween.
A strip of violets in the cloud
Like tea from Devon with cream.
A kind gentle soul emerges
with roses in abundance.
Petals scatter on her path
and fairies lead in dance.
She is wonderful, she is graceful
words without end.
She is a light shining on my dull day
She is Sally, my new friend.

Their eyes meet...
from two opposite corners of the room,
immediately recognizing,
but still familiarizing
eagerly staring
without faltering
each other' s thoughts, they are reading
yet, torn by hindrances existing...

But their hearts and minds overrule...
"forget the couples surrounding!
forget the music playing!
forget the shadows in the dance ongoing!"

Not a blink, not a wink...
eyes, seem deliberating,
steps, though measured, still move in haste,
walking,
the distance, lessening,
crossing,
nearing without knowing...
hands clasp
slowly,
tightly...
lovingly accepting...

Hearts are beating faster,
now communicating...
how could it be possible
to touch without touching?
thinking their lips, kissing,
to hug without embracing,
through their eyes,
caressing...

~~~it is time to escape~~~
Eyes still glued to each other,
face to face this moment,
here...now...
breath against breath,
lips...apart...begging...
both unaware
of their chests thumping...
arms seeking arms,
lips seeking lips...
this is the moment....
sweet, sweet surrender...
love, long withheld, to be released,
desire, has to be unleashed...
Two old lovers,
once lonely doves, now making love,
in their own passionate way,
making up for long lost times...
Two old lovers,
left with no choice but to
tread along life's beaten roads,
find comfort once again,
in each other' s warmth...
arms wouldn't dare let go,
never, never again....
Perhaps
When the thought of an absence
tears at the spirit
leaving a vacuum in its place
Perhaps it shall be called love
When a life would freely
be given for another
without thought or hesitation
Perhaps it shall be called love
When the happiness of another
means more than ones own
Perhaps it shall be called love
When walking away is the only option
to allow for that happiness
Perhaps it too, shall be called love
