Dreams tainted by the course of age
I've acted like the prince but stood as a page
Thought my rage was past tense but I don't change

Expectations of respect but I'm not royalty
And I still stand with all my hate and loyalty
Sleeping soundly and when I wake its regrettably

My waking life is spent as a constant
Eyes closed with dark bags tired my countenance
A need to be a man of substance, a brain with content

It drives me to escape and sleep all day long
Life on my word the path of pain where have I gone
Burn in the night to escape the change will never come

Always I seek the validation of respect
Only break is sleep some stolen moments
Born poor and envious my life is one I reject

Heart beats in indigo even as it lets go
Dark and bruised still I will always grow
No need for an escrow when I rest it all goes

Heaven rained on me,
I breathed in the petrichor,
Bathed in the downpour.
I have sinned,
So destroy me,
With your rain.

oil splattered
underfoot
dripping from the diya,
leaking slowly
cotton wick burns black
smoke wisp
bending
paints the ceiling
like kajal
around your eyes.
my palms trace the wooden
alter,
a splinter punctures my thumb.

I am a child in wildness
open the ignorant eyes
see the endless plain
with green grass
and rolling mountains
A blue river
flows through
freely

There is
no panic
no bullying
no dispute
only life
breathes
freely
Hey there sweet bee, you are truly a sight to see
Hair tied in a knot
Knife covered in blood
What I would give for you to stab me
That would surely make me happy

I care not for your weirdness, your wickedness
I was surrounded in hatred
But you came along and made me feel connected
So I thank you wholeheartedly
(whatever's left that is)
For your very existence

Let's go to the end of the world and build ourselves an empire
Go on a grand adventure, I don't care, whatever
Anything is better than here so let us go quick, faster
Somewhere filled with laughter

If things were still normal we'd still be in the trees
Weirdness brings greatness
So we embrace it

Your soul is darker than mine
Yet you make it lighter
Light and dark intertwined
Forever and ever.

People say it washes away your pain
I suppose, even makes you happy
But only for limited time
When you get so high
After a point all there’s left to do is fall
Fall
Fall hard and get hit in the face with pain yet again,
even.
harder.
It’s a funny idea you’d think
Why get high if you only get hurt?
You see,
We would rather be able to enjoy slight happiness even if it means we fall,
Because at least we can say we left the bottom

Life is like an elevator.
Sometimes, we soar upwards to undreamed of heady heights.
While at other distinctly cheerless moments, we plunge downwards to plumb unenviable, new depths of sorrow, misfortune and woe.
So have no fear when you are inhabiting the valleys of your life's journey.
For sooner rather than later, you will be able to mend your severed wings and boldly take flight again with supreme self-assuredness.

the rain left us with feelings of peace
senses purified with waters from above
mists that traveled through the abyss
openings in the emptiness served by worldly strategies
principles that live in natures character
and then - the openings purpose was complete
leaving us with misty drizzle
evaporating back into the emptiness of abyss
we wait for when the return occurs....
