My Life was filled with different hues of black and white until you added color to my life.
This poem is dedicated to all my Hello Poetry friends and my friends and family near and far away too. I have much gratitude for all of you making my life filled with more beauty!

Just Me
It's soft and gloomy today.

With a slight breeze and painted clouds.

The sun peeks through and kisses the flowers.

I can sit and stare from my window for hours.

I'll wait for a mist that flirts with the earth.

I'll watch and I'll wait.

It's the perfect day to put my thoughts to hopes.

It's so perfect that I wait for our the dirt to soak.

Yes it's perfect, but I still want more.

I would love to smell the rain and pavement while the sky pours.

It's a few steps above the perfect day today.

It's hope for a day that's more, much more than today.

And so I'll watch and I'll wait.

And I'll watch and wait.
Just shows, that we always want more.
Even on a beautiful day. I started out writing this poem thinking it was a perfect day, but soon realized that I wanted rain.

Don't be afraid
To go

Just Me
Broken isn't attractive.

That's how I know I'm ugly.

There's beauty in words,
but often I find
more in the ones I have heard
than in mine;

more in the sound
of the ones I have read,
than those at the tip
of the tongue in my head..

Let's get back to the lazy days of summer
Where time stands still
Where we sit in the shade with our popsicles
and ice cream until we get our fill
Sip on some sweet tea and have a little picnic
or lay in a hammock reading with my sidekick
Where we walk around barefoot on the freshly cut lawn
or turn on the sprinkler for the kids to get their jump on
Where we watch the bees and butterflies flit and fly around
and listen to the whippoorwill's calling sound
Once God turns off the light we catch lightning bugs in jars
then lay back with our lover and count the stars
Let's get back to the lazy days of summer
Where time stands still

Polar
We are all but transient passengers

within this life.

Like butterfly tourists

we flit through existence...

when my journey here is complete

my soul and spirit will be replete.

You'll find me within fields of wheat

That's how they keep the pastures sweet,

Growing in fields of corn and loam

Amidst the place where I call home.

between the barley, wheat and rye

love and friendship never die.

If you ever wish to contact me

Forever in perpetuity

Speak, whisper, quietly to the bees

you'll hear my answer in the breeze.

Traveler
Embrace the pain
While it last
Life is so short
Even pleasure must pass
The knowing can be bitter
The brooding of the quitter
But the heartbeat of the thankful
   Shall surpass...

Just Me
You can spill spill all of your words.

You can shout shout your hurt.

You can cry cry your heart out.

You can beat beat your anger pillow.

You can rip rip your hair.

But if they don't give a ****....

You must must realize that they will never never care.
Feeling down and invisable. If being uncaring was contagious I'd be....
