Why is there a little boy lying on the beach?
Washed up.
Lifeless.
All for a new life too far to reach?

Why is there a little boy lying on the beach?
Terrorists
Heartless.
What happened to the human rights we all preach?

Why is there a little boy lying on the beach?
Traffickers.
Gangs.
Displacing people no home and no speech.

Why is there a little boy lying on the beach?
A son.
No future.
We hang our heads and weep!
Broken hearted and deeply affected by pictures I saw in the news depicting the lifeless body of a little boy no older than three who was photographed washed up on the shore line of Turkey. The result of further illegal human smuggling, people trafficking promising to get families to Europe on a false promise. All too often, people are put into small boats unable to sustain the weight of all the people put upon it and not fit for purpose. This is yet another shocking event in the wake of atrocities taking place in North Africa where the displacement of millions of innocent people continues. Governments are too busy counting the pennies and quarrelling amongst themselves in addition to wasting precious time as gangs and smugglers take advantage of the situation by sending people to their death profiting from the desperation of families searching for a place to call home. When will this end? RIP to the little boy, his brother and mother who all perished.

I slither to caress every single inch of your warm-blooded skin.
Soothe out your fear with
my scaly veins emerging into your soul.
I bite my poison onto your lips .
Your heart is ready to be deceived with every throbbing pain.
I wait for you to reach for my neck
To ****** me....
But I strike another vicious bite.
****** me please....
You reach again ...
Bite once more....
You reach for me...
I slither away as you are in agony

To live and lust for purple pennies.
As upon clifftops and hillocks I stroll, reluctantly stuck.
In perfect patience, I sit and wait, dreaming of bright lights, no silence.
Dancing on starlight and raindrops of thought.
Just wearing a smile.
And so shall I wait.

Will you find me faster next time
Before perception binds me to duty
To a life I was never meant to lead

Will you search relentlessly
Until we are joined once again
Before fairytales fall from reality

Will you remember that we are bonded and bound
And be compelled to feel whole
On loves crusade until we meet again

Will you know me as you always have
Through millennia to eternity
Never resting until we are one

Will the road to me be found more quickly
Wasting no time building a life united
Sharing all we are meant to share

Should the slumber of darkness find me
Will you find me faster next time

Waiting for my prince charming
the man my parents promised would love me
would slay a dragon just to see me
would actually want to kiss me
I am waiting for the person who will light up my day
my happy ever after
I waiting for the amazing man to take my breathe away
im waiting
waiting
am i to late?
did i miss the section of the story that said you have to send photos
to get your prince charming to notice you
did i miss the update
the ball that i was invited to is called instagram
and the likes increase your chances of meeting that man
the more skin you show the more followers you get
the more likes
the more kisses
Prince charming has shown his true colors
His love has to be earned
and I will earn it
I will stop waiting
and start doing
I will scream love me
till somone decides to do it
the life of a teenage girl consist of two words
***** it
either said from her
to her
or about her
you see we have a choice
either wait
or dont
both ways we are *******
*(literally)
dead bodies floating
in our oceans
from the Asian Pacific
to the Mediterranean

crumpled corpses lying
on our beaches
thousands drowned unknown

overcrowded detention centers
not unlike concentration camps
behind barbed wires
guarded by police and snarling dogs

nobody feels responsible

not  those who started wars
destroyed whole cities
made millions homeless
and into refugees

not those who take advantage
of the chaos for their own gain
abusing the names of their gods
or some ancient figurehead
to excuse their atrocities and greed

not those who live
in comfortable homes
and wish the desperate crowds
would just stay on the TV screen
and not come close

nor those who pretend
to be the guardians
of our great humanitarian heritage
but show no backbone
against nationalist fanatics

it is the shame of the world
to sit and talk and watch
and not do enough

those who turn away
the needy and homeless
could also
      quite suddenly
lose their homes

forced to rely
on the kindness of strangers
