When you feel the pain
Through every bone, every vein
You decide not to hide
And instead, you walk with pride
Is it worth it?

When you climb a mountain
So certain
You will fly
But you don’t, and people cry
Is it worth it?

When you see it in their eyes
Beyond the doors, behind the lies
And you finally choose
To stop staring at your shoes
Is it worth it?

When you've been on the other side
It can be hard to decide
Consequences may fill one with remorse
But it’s up to you, of course
So tell me now, is it worth it?

I wanna fire you in my veins;
have you ruin my life
I want you to be the cancer, baby
I have to cut out with a knife

i'm curled up in your blanket
i'll never leave this spot
and i'm still wearing your favorite sweater
i'll never take it off
until i can see you again
and kiss all of your wounds
and see your precious face
listen to your heart warming laugh
and cry in your arms until my tears run dry
one day you and i
can watch from the window
our coffee drips becoming raindrops
in a foggy city of your dreams
i love you and all of your ripped seams
i love you endlessly

Angel?

In That Moonlit Night Standing In The Abaft,
Watching The Towed Flaccid Wooden Raft,
I Thought That I Saw An Angel Resting,
Lying Exhausted There In That Craft.

I Call The Girl Out Unbeknownst Of Her Kind Name,
"Hey Young Lady!!" To Which She Didn't Much Respond,
She Looked Up Towards Me Once In Anguish & Collapsed,
I See Desperation In Her Amber Eyes & Resolve To Help Her.

The Crewmen Had Now Been Doing The Paddles After Resting,
I Summon My Captain & Ask, "Do You See That Girl In The Raft?"
The Senile Captain Smiles To Say, "Commodore, Better Get Married,"
I Look Just Clueless To Which He Simply Replies, "There Is No Girl."

True He Was As She Had Simply Disappeared,
I Started Thinking Of My Sleep Needs That Day,
I Looked Around Again In A Hope To Find The Girl,
I Had Compromised My Routine As The Commodore.

Then I Immediately Realized It Was My Wild Phantasm,
Now This Was Just A Plain Illusion Of A Tired Sailor's Mind,
No Mermaids Could Have Ever Existed In Reality & Were Fake,
I Turned Towards The Deck To Go Back To My Bunk For Sleeping.

As I Climbed Down The Stairs To Enter My Room Amazed & Dazed,
I Saw Her Standing And Waiting For Me By The Side Of My Bunk,
I Accepted That Delusion Of My Mind & Started To Lie Down,
She Said, "I'm As Real As Your Thoughts, Don't Fear Me."

She & I-Me & Her, Had The Best Time That Night,
In The Morning She Was Gone & Was Just Gone,
Disappeared Into Thin Air While I Was Asleep,
Each Day I So Dearly Long For Her To Return.

The Masked Sleepyz
I saw,
a man in a wheelchair,
carrying,
a stepladder.
What was he trying to get to?

You stab me in the back with a knife,
and I apologize for bleeding on it.

You’re not going to be a girl who’s in the same situation I am. You’re not going to be a girl who’s been single her whole life. You’re not going to be a girl who’s continually falling in love with someone who’s already taken. You’re not going to be a girl losing hope.

You’re going to be a girl who’s been in multiple relationships. A girl who may even be in a current relationship. You’re going to be a girl who’s grown from your past relationships. You’re going to be a girl who’s not looking for me.

When we do meet, I’ll be the boy who’s always dreamed about having a relationship. I’ll be the boy who’s only experienced relationships through watching movies. I’ll be the boy wanting to hold you in my arms every chance that I get. I’ll be the boy who’s patiently waited for the opportunity to say the words “I love you.” I’ll be the boy who ends up being your last boyfriend.

Love,

Me

hangovers last so much longer
the flu goes on for weeks
high blood pressure causes migranes
the night drags on like primary school
the day stings my eyes
i have washed my pillow eleven times
yet your scent still likes to stay
smoking hurts my throat
no one argues with me to quit
music sounds off key
books are no good
poems make my head throb
other peoples conversations bore me
i'm always alone

i am finally understanding
that you are never
ever
ever
coming back to me
