A technological evolution
iPhone stapled to ear
The fear
Of missing out
On our social revolution.

A constant silent disco in our heads
Makes us buzz from work to bed.
Notified about everything
In control of none
An illusion that has replaced our tongue.

The new-age religion;
A martyr to the pixelated face
Of Illustrated connections.

Calling your name so softly, camly
Sleeping on a hospital bed
Barely able to breath.
Wonder how I ended up here?
All I know is that you’re gone.

All around me are faces full of pity.
I got tired of not understanding why.
Why do they all look like they want to cry?
Tears stains on my face with no cause.

Darling, I don’t know why you’re not here but I’ll find you.
Walk into the cold breeze looking for your warmth.
Dancing on top of ledges hoping that you’ll catch me
But I don’t feel your arms wrap around me tightly.

Please don’t shed any tears I’ll be alright
So just smile and pretend we are dancing like when we were young.

You don’t have to wait for me anymore because I am not here
But that’s alright cause I live in your memories.

All right so just, smile please
Smile and hide your tears behind a facade.

This thunder
reminds me of the old times
when I would climb into your bed in fear.

I sleep alone now,
for the same thunder  
is now the lullaby
you sing for me
from heaven.

I know you're lost ,
And i know you've ran out of hope
But don't keep running.
Stop and breathe.
The world is turning
even when yours doesn't.
So don't get lost in the past,
Keep going, keep breathing.
You'll live.
You'll make it.
You'll win.

Blurry

Things were so blurry

My heart pumped and skipped

And my fingers shook

Things got dark around the edges

Of my eyes as i began not to see straight

It was almost as if i could

Should just reach and wrap my fingers around her neck

Full of anger i was

Till i silently walked

Alone with everyone around me

Thinking in my head

I shall not harm to satisfy.

I shall not let the devil win.
