Nestled in a blanket of pristine snow-covered countryside
an old barn in winter
A crow sits atop it's white ragged roof

Amidst the vast and blinding silence
that surrounds this frozen remnant of an era gone by
a reminder
that very little happens here now

It's an aging but graceful beauty
Standing proud as though untouched
by time
and an ever-changing modern world
Learn to love yourself
Because no one ever will
The problems at your bedroom side
The crazy calling up at night
The way you talk to move your hands
The way you slither up the sand
Hissing and sparkling
Like the man outside your door who wants a piece of you
I'm tossin' around,
I feel like a clown,
The world's rollin' over me

I'm goin' to town
I keep fallin' down
This atmosphere's killin' me

It's been a long day
And the night is gettin' longer

I ain't no alley cat
Or a black and white striped robber

I need to go to bed,
So I'll wake up in a morn,
With some pepper in my step,
Feelin' like I've been reborn
But the clock is tickin' by
And the well is gettin' dry
So let's all go to sleep
For a while.
blues blues blues, I'm feeling blue
Drowning in the ocean of your eyes
you leaned in just too far away
Your lips taunting me
You had me playing mercy
I was begging you to take me
I like boys
boys don't like me
I don't care

He
He was
the sweetest nostalgia

the sweetest nostalgia
of all the nostalgia
I spoke with
your heavy eyelids, and
its darkness pulled me in
to find my missing path

I asked the tear
as it sheds from
your eyes to touch
the curves of your face,
if I’m welcome in your heart

Can you handle my foreign heart,
or would you abandon it for another refuge?

What is it that pains you?
Is it the never-ending nights,
or do you long for death, like I do

Is the unbearable weight
of existence a burden to you,
and how can I ease it?

All I ask is,
will I ever be welcome
in your heart
