I have a friend who's in a way
Don't worry none, won't mention names
That daily battles bitterness
It drives them nuts, I'm sure no less

Where they've been wronged so many times
It's tuff to focus on this life
A wall they've built that's hard to scale
Could use a window if nothing else

To help see in and also out
Raise the shutter on that room of doubt
Let the breeze of trust blow in
Where it can flow back out again

Although I'm sure they're unaware
My friend is always in my prayers
And no matter what they're thrown in life
True friends stand by each other's side
Within the genuine lens of Christianity,
is an opportunity to understand suffering;
for it’s from our pain, that we can mature.
With a humbled attitude, we’re uncovering

the need for a relationship with Christ.
Under His leadership, we’ll overcome all
that the enemy employs in a vain attempt
to **** us before Judgment’s roll call.

Within the evangelical lens of Christianity,
we teach the principles of responsibility,
while fulfilling Jehovah’s Great Commission
by the mantle of spiritual accountability.

We can still impact and change this World,
as we move forward under the banner of Christ.
Do you recall, His ultimate victory was won?
Who else has provided access to Eternal Life?

Within the military lens of Christianity,
we battle against the current frontier of sin;
speaking The Word over circumstance with praise,
we triumph over the noise of the World’s din.

Yet, the spiritual conflict belongs to Him,
as we “stand in the gap” with ongoing prayers;
therefore, we’ll remain steadfast and firm,
with the covering of Christ’s righteous flair.

Within the affectionate lens of Christianity,
we still remain loyal as our brother’s keeper;
Love requires tangible action towards others,
until our soul is stalked by the “Grim Reaper”.

Christ demonstrated the ultimate sacrifice,
by bridging the chasm between us and the Godhead;
allow His tenderness and fondness unite us, as…
He binds us with the Love of His scarlet thread.

I know you're not supposed to be a distraction,
I just wonder what God was up to
when He made my soul's natural reaction
loving, trying, and dying for you.
It's not about needing your affection,
it's not about what you do or don't do
It is about your soul's affliction,
and the suffering I watch you go through.
I pray for the Lord's intercession
there's nothing He can't do.
And He tells me I can do nothing
except be there for you.
And so continue to hurt me,
if that's what you must do.
I just know my prayers are working,
even if I can't see what they do.
God is so much bigger than all of this.

In this house is a trousseau of deception
walking into Clarksdale
where we are perpendicular lines
of perception
at a crossroad of 61 & 49.

She pretends to be a guitar
played by his aching tooth
where she dressed all in scarlet
put candies in her cooch.

She is a ledge of peeks and coos
Pigeons of Pharmacia
scroll peoples lives from Venice beach
come to be souls just out of reach.

..and a voice shouts out from heaven
it's not to late to turn back
just a little faith my girl
is all that you really lack.

she wanted someone to save him
well, that's just not my job
those are words for redeemers
where I simply refuse to mob.

But I hope to see you there my friend
should you find yourself able
feast on the words of lambs
Eucharists at his table.

Come, we'll hold
his hand together
no longer singing
words of one,
run, scatter
hide
as innocent
babes
of Babylon.

The Summer heat burns me,
Scorching this raging river inside me
My love needs to flow
Eventually leading back to its source,
You

My father talking to an irate neighbor after a football landed in his flower bed(circa 1947):

" Your grass, and your flowers, will grow back. The children  grow only once. Let them play!"
