No depth,
you're hollow,
you're empty inside.

It's no wonder you wallow...
Society has you,
you're destined to follow.

Adrift and aimless,
pathetic and nameless,
you're not even shameless,
with shame you're aware,

but you're not..

You can't even care you're so self diluted,
you're blind as a bat,
and your conscience is muted.

Let's hear you refute it..

Despute it..

It's all just a game, I know.
Another song and dance to show.

I'm not impressed.
Not in the least.

I get it.

Lifes your buffet,
and it's all you can eat,
but retreat,
and know I'm no feat,
I repeat,
you will never defeat,
with a virtue to cheat.
You're merely transparent with all that deceit.
A girl I know.
Falling in place with the universe

I am falling in love
And I am not alone

You glow under the starlight
You're my star boy
And we dance

There's no gravity pulling on my heart
There's you pulling on my hair

I don't feel trapped at all
even with your grip around me tight.
I gasp for air
And I explode,
Explode with pleasure, passion, satisfaction

Now with eyes wide open
I see this all flash before my eyes.
I look into your eyes
There's still stars in them.
You blink and stardust falls from your lashes.
And it makes me realize I've dreaming with eyes open.

i keep telling myself that i won't be there for you anymore
that it's tiring to love someone like you
but after a month,
you asked me how i was doing
and just like that
i was beside you again

Sometimes when I

briefly touch you

I want to sink into

the warmness of your skin

all toasty from that internal heater

you call a body an it's wonderful

how so much heat can come

from such a delicate frame

or maybe  you are my delicacy

to be deliciously eaten

during times of crisis

I only have to think of

the slight curve

of your pink smile

to find warmth.

I don't know if it's a curse
to feel so very deeply

to feel so empty
and very lonely
with the memories
that you have left me

like a tattered story
with no particular ending

to be suddenly left at bay
without knowing what to say
It's kind of beautiful yet sad
to experience this kind of love

you came to me,
and told a poem
you've wrote for me

i didn't like it
for it lacked
some kind of wit
that i was finding

another fellow came to me
and wrote the same kind of
poetry

i loved it, not because
it's lovely
but because his looks
were charming

i brushed you off
not knowing why
for maybe i was being
sly

i got too busy looking
at facades to later
then be filled with awes
when i should be looking
at the innermost that i
could live to be engrossed

to see you now
writing poems, which are good
to read utmost
but those words that are written
aren't for me no more

“You have to go back”
Is what she tells me.

I want to fight back.
I want to scream at her for all the reasons why

Going back there makes me want to:
Scream
Cry
Throw up from anxiety
Curl up and die

You don’t understand,
I can’t go back to that place.

I have never felt this way about a place before,
And I can’t quite put my finger on it
But I know that it makes me crazy.

I can’t go back.
Please don’t make me go...
When I look back at the things I had
The things that now are gone
I was planting seeds of division
But the trees grew tall and strong

I used to see for miles around
But now the forest grows
Beneath the shade of branches
Are secrets no one knows

At first it was a place to hide
An oasis on barren lands
But holding on to a past that's gone
Was just leaving time on my hands

For years I must have wandered
Abandoning all that was good
I thought I knew my way out
But now I'm lost in the woods
Wow, I can't believe I got poem of the day! This made my night, I am honored. I want to thank all of the encouraging members on this site that kept me going when I wanted to give up.

This is probably one of my favorite poems I have written. I came to this site as a musician on hiatus looking for a creative outlet in life. This was the first poem where I felt as I wasn't a musician writing poems, but a poet. Thank you so much for your support and here's to many future works from myself and from all of you as well! :)
