Burning me up to a cinder
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire

Creating a moment that lives forever
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire

Taking my love to remember
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire

Slaves to life we all are
Gaining trust that never falls
Building words to live and learn
Getting lost when the tables turn
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire (x4)

It's the heat of the moment that stays forever
We were young and having fun
Dancing til the sun was nearly gone
Living like no other
I'm on fire
Yea
I'm on fire(x4)

We thought our love could never die
But here we are looking at the sky
Saying goodbye and staring at the stars
Into the night we part from one
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire(x4)

Burning me up into a cinder
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire

Creating a moment that lives forever
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire

Taking my love to remember
I'm on fire
Yes
I'm on fire
Burn Baby, Burn!
Like my soul for her.
Burn Baby, Burn!
As if you were saying “burrr.”

Burn Baby, Burn!
Cast a fire unto me.
Burn Baby, Burn!
Let the world see,

Burn Baby, Burn!
Our passion for the heat.
Burn Baby, Burn!
Let the smoke be our mete.

Burn Baby, Burn!
Don’t cross over that line.
Burn Baby, Burn!*
Reach for the flames so divine.

Now you're breathing champagne
I can feel it sparkle on my skin
while you revel in the falseness
of forgivable sin

Now I can feel the air around you
deflate and search for words
to stop your own from hemorrhaging
and to heal whatever hurts

Now you're breathing champagne
while you stumble to the places you once called home
like the park behind my house
and the west end record store

Now you can feel the world behind you
nipping at your heels
like the hundred hungry hounds
and the weapons they conceal

Now you're breathing champagne
like it's oxygen
and you are
lost at sea.

I wrote a note on the bottom of the bottle
you can read when you're in pain
"keep the memories in your chest
and keep breathing champagne."
Champagne

In the blue smoke rings I see her.
Beautiful to see her sweet smile again
On his arm she looks so lovely
In my hand a glass of champagne
We used to sit together
at that table in this bar.
Her eyes so bright and blue
Now she sits here close you.
Don’t let her look don’t let her see
Please don’t let her turn to look at me.
The cigarette smoke is burning in my eye
That’s why my tears are falling
Grown men just do not cry.
A drink it helps to fight the pain.
I lift my glass and sip Champagne.
They dance so happy close together
Just them two upon the floor.
I leave my champagne on the bar.
And quietly walk out of the door.
I will sit here
forever, me
Just wondering why
the blood in
cracked veins
Turns to ink droplets
and became words
on countless pages

This isn't pain
That was not love
Either way
we are F R E E
as animals

Is this an Ancient
Marmalade Sky
and Champagne Rivers
Where we will
float away to
something louder
Then a prayer

I am sewn back together
with no anesthetic
But my insides tucked up
Gloss and clouds
Our memories are worth
every penny

With colours and textures
we are floating away
Under Marmalade Skies
and
Champagne Rivers
much like the butterflies
i fish from the pool
wings leaden with water
exhausted from the notion
of staying afloat
my journey began the same.
uplifting tiny gossamer stars
from abysmal waters
so i might bestow
one last chance

and the six years of recovery
I walked to harness
such resplendent light.

Angel goes to sleep each night
Wondering if she is all right
She hates and hates and hates and hates
Hates and hates for hating’s sake
Hates ‘til there’s no more hate to give
Then hates some more and won’t forgive
Angel wants to end her life
To end her internal strife
Angel, Angel loves to sing
Angel is a precious thing
Angel smiles and Angel cries
Angel really wants to die
Angel walks and Angel runs
Angel loves to make dumb puns
Angel hides under her lies
Angel has a good disguise
But Angel kissed the face of death
As Angel took her very last breath
