Amitav Radiance
The sleepless poet
Cradled by the words
Deep into the night
Rendezvous with self
Solace in loneliness
Insisted by thoughts
In a reverie

The Messiah Complex
i want to build a home
i want to frame every goodbye
that's ever left my lips
with a sigh, and hang them on walls
built from good intentions
i want to lay a foundation
that doesn't crumble beneath a heavy heart

smooth
as marble
strangely warm
are her
alabaster arms

benieth
long bangs
a curve of grace
is her
piquant little
face

a waif-like
gamen little thing
she is a fairie
with no wings

a smudge
of feathers round
her head
she lies on tile

almost
dead

the world saw
her wounds and scars
but we don't
care unless they're

OURS

now her
pain is
in the
past

now
she
has
her
wings
at
last

Back for a short time.
Caring for my father is
becoming more difficult.
He choked on a vitamin pill
the other day.
If I had not known
the Heimlich maneuver
he would have been
in big trouble.
I'm just glad I was THERE!!!

Poetic T
Upon the wings of doves it was pure
Their purest white Feathers
Glided,
Floated,
Nestled
Its clearness, Its symbolic touch
Upon my yet to be woken heart,
For this beauty showed what was
In front of my eyes,
Feathers did come down like snow
Not only touching mine,
Awoken,
Revived,
Vitality
Sprung forth, emotions were flowering
Everywhere,
My heart was touched
By a feather of purest love,
That is when our eyes meet, I saw a feather
Caress your loneliness and we
Were transformed from
Solitude,
Seclusion,
Sorrow
To hearts that were now awoken,
The true feeling stirred from inside,
To love at first sight,
We were like the feathers
Our hearts had taken flight,
We were in love as white feathers fell,
The symbol of love had opened our hearts
To what was always Within our now *flourishing hearts.

A whisper in the darkness,
so soft and yet so clear
Quiet words to let you know
that I am always near
~
Sending you affection,
a love that shall endure
From one who truly cares for you
*and will forever more

if when comes a day the sunset does not amaze me:
or my nose does not sneeze at the breeze on the shores
a wave splashing, I turn my back to, or
any dog unfed goes by my house without a bone:
or a willow finds no one hearing her cries;
a sparrow flies to alight on a limb
and I take no mental picture of.
Or I forget to tend my yellow roses, and they become all thorns.
Or I don't get high when the bee or hummingbird buzzes,
or when I sleep long and miss,
the mystic mountain as it grows out of darkness
       at sunrise.
**** me quick, if I for a second quit believing that life is meaningful.

~

The Snow Queen waved her magic wand,
the skies they grew so dark
Clouds moved in without a sound
as shadows did embark
~
Two happy lovers walked along,
they felt a chill blow in
He wrapped his arms around her soft
to keep her warm with him
~
The scenery was beautiful
with geese upon the lake
The scent of pine and winter breeze,
they saw the first snow flake
~
Then the sky was filled with more
ice crystals floating down
They marveled at the wondrous sight
now white upon the ground
~
She stared up at the heavens fair
in circles she did spin
He followed every move she made
as fun would soon begin
~
A thousand little snowflakes white
were falling from the sky
A perfect winter wonderland
about them it did fly
~
And then he saw her do it,
just like when they were young
She tried to catch a falling flake
right there upon her tongue
~
He chased the flurries with her,
their laughter could be heard
The neighbors out across the lake
said not a single word
~
Except to only wonder
why laughter they did hear
When snow was steady falling
and winter sure was here
~
Then they saw these lovers
running hand in hand
Catching snowflakes on their tongues,
now they understand
~
They heard him saying something
yet it was hard to hear
Because these two were far away,
not so very near
~
The Snow Queen she was smiling,
looking at these two
She knew it’d make them happy,
this magic she did do
~
When then she saw him staring,
a wink came from his eye
For he was saying thank you
to the Snow Queen in the sky
~
Now every time its winter
these two just look above
Sending her a message,
floating on their love
~
With beauty all around them
and snow geese on the pond
The Queen will grant their every wish
and wave her magic wand
~
And when the snow is falling
so fresh and oh so new
Between the laughter you might hear
him tell her, I love you

The Anonymous Joker
Tomorrow
I will be
Bigger
Better

Maybe this time
I won't run away

Head down
Hands trembling

Tomorrow,
I won't regret this

But that's tomorrow

Today remains
With all my worries
Insecurities and beliefs
My thoughts
Spiral
Off on a tangential course now

It will pass over me
And I won't be left untouched

But I will grow stronger
Through it all

I will become
The person
I want to be
In far-off tomorrows
(the one that doesn't have a million running shoes
a million blades and thorns
stockpiled
ready
waiting)

SG Holter
I was a teenager.
a boy unshaven amongst
pimpled, insecure junior
high school brats.

I'd sit in the dark of my room,
hearing my father's smoker's
cough through the wall
under my Pantera.

long hair, biker boots, leather
coats and torn jeans was asking
to be excluded where I lived. oh,
I asked, begged, pleeded that

they would.
some did; most saw me as
a necessity they
compared themselves with

to assure themselves as normal.
mainstream. accepted.
at least I'm not freak like
Holter.

no. I built this confidence and
character alone.
that was my way to walk.
those were my teenage memories.

don't ever be afraid to get noticed.
it takes grit and
confidence; strong legs to
stand out. and stay there.

Traveler
A chilly wicked wind blows
Freezing wet consuming snow
My body shivers shakes in degrees
Her winter wonderland
Covets the trees
Fall freezes
Damning leaves
Mother nature
Not appeased

The garden
Lay wasted
Which once
Was our
Bride
Frozen bitter
Barely alive
We must gather
Our strength
To once again
Survive...

Do we assess our relationship with this universe
and try to work at it to make it better
When we are here, there must be a purpose
How many times have we questioned it?
Or, asked the universe for a clarification
A one-to-one conversation with the forces
which govern us
Have we aligned ourselves with the celestial vibes
Or are we totally out of sync?
It's a very formidable force we are living with
That can make or break us
Why don't we go back and take a pause
To ponder over our equation with the universe
Maybe we will find the answers
To our mission on this planet

Nat Lipstadt
strange enough,
that word choice,
******,
for they are all,
(or mostly)
men

they get on
their knees,
so eager to please

write a poem,
newbie,
they will be your
partner pretenders,
instant followers

but
the trick employed
is transference

they want you bad
to worship them,
that being the purest
of their false intentions,
their oldest trick,
guilt,
"if I follow you,
you should follow me!"

their kiss

Pass

laden with std's,
they want implanted
in your
hp inbox

The std is vanity.
what they need,
what they want you to imbibe,
is their world view,
poetry-is-by-the-numbers

the number of followers,
(how I detest that word)
the number of reads,
oft manipulated,
by cyber techno b.s.

so understand,
this craft,
you may have chosen,
is work, so hard,
because it comes from the gut,
wrenching pressing issues
inside you

it is about everything you want
us
to understand about you,
your vision peculiar,
without revealing your rawest self
so obviously

know this in advance

each poem has a unique audience,
as unique as you

years took me,
took me to grasp
this simply complex notion,
over come myself within myself,
that self-same infection

that audience is you

write to please yourself,
be your harshest critic,
popularity
will find you

your truths,
withour pandering,
will finds the seekers,
the quality lovers,
the truth
hungerers

they will find you,
of that,
be assured

amidst the millions of words,
yours are yours,
fear not the plaintive worry,
are they any good?

for the courage to post
yourself,
is the very
self same answer to that,
the bells toll
for thee

if it pleased you,
pained you,
enough that you released into this world,
in poem form,
it is good enough

poetry is ego

no question,
but keep yourself
on the right side of the line,
separating your ego from
the egotist,
and your poetry
will no question,
forever live,
a mark of you
upon the world

let us be brothers,
let us be sisters,
David and Jonathan,
Ruth and Naomi,

but not
Cain and Abel,
no anger, no jealousy,
just raw,
refined,
truth,
the truth
of you,
which cannot be
diminished by enumeration,
cannot be counted,
only blessed
An afterthought:
thru the HP site, I have made good friends, encouraged many, and received much encouragement, affection....be open to good hearted people for there are many...trust your instincts...this is the important truth
