circus clown
i write all day like an adult,
i am learned and i use big words
and i know how to accurately craft
a metaphor about pain and harm.

but at the end of the day
i return to childlike phrases,
“it’s not fair,” and i feel more
of a release from that than
a composition notebook
filled from cover to cover
with a million different ways
of saying that i still,
despite everything,
am not happy.
i sat to write a poem
tapped on the key
words turned lame
thoughts mystery

blank blinked the screen
mocked its cleanliness
while the head's din
made mind a mess

i thought of the girl
who gave my eye a cut
the one with a curl
stole my childhood heart

and the ******* her door
i met on way to school
she has grown no more
still gives my heart a pull

the one who ran me down
called me foolish child
the cutest in town
in her love i was wild

one upon one
floated up the face
my poem was undone
unborn undressed

as from next year Santa will be
using a new business model
he'll be out sourcing his present making
to a Chinese manufacturer

Santa has found that there will be
cost savings by sending production off shore
for some considerable time
his work-shop has run as a losing straw

and his financial adviser
has eloquently told him
to fix the balance sheet
which has looked rather slim

Santa is urgently addressing
his per unit labor costs
in an endeavor to curtail
all unnecessary imposts

Watching you sleep,
Makes me feel rested
If I had my way,
Instead of you, I'd be tested
The tribulations you face,
That shouldn't be part of your fate at all,
They're mine as much as yours,
- As much as you are my all
Your eyes need sleep,
Your mind needs some calm,
Your body needs touch,
And I need to be your balm
When you laugh,
It's those moments that make my day,
When you are momentarily all right,
When moments are not grey
They say you can live your entire life in one moment,
And in moments you can know it all,
You are my moment of clarity,
You, standing there, standing right there tall

with fingers of sin i had touched your core, unzipped your jeans like locked church doors and swore i would marry you one day.
they say i shouldn't love you anymore, that poems are only for those you adore—but when you left i was naked on the floor, sold my soul to the convenience store, and
to forget a ****** i kissed a *****
kissed my lips and cried no more
december 2nd.

Spirit walker what can you tell
standing amidst us silent and still
weaving our souls into a tapestry so rich
each silken thread a story to tell
you catch our tears in your soft white hands
watching us weep in a fervent prayer
so many voices inside your head
screaming out from the bones of the dead
take me with you oh spirit walker
for I am prepared for the journey ahead

Sprinkle some Happy
all over my Body

Silly times feel so fine

Squinty eyes and rosey cheeks
belly laughs and tiny leaks
A rolling Laugh so sizable
My state has changed
to Condensate

makes my frozen face feel
like a visage vice
oh how it pulls my skin
sooo tight

Doubled Over
Double back
Reach for me
My luscious Love
Let's find the floor
and Cuddle Up

Release at last...
the pressurized
gasps of groaning
Satisfaction.

God, how I love
the Wonder that
You bless me with

Today could be the rest
of forever...Together

I will fall when this earth
falls
around me like ashen mist.
I'm no pacifist, but these words,
they make me want to build bridges
not burn them.
When the clock strikes the final hour
and the chime sounds
down the bell tower,
I will know the right thing to do
and it will not be to run or cower.

You whispered her name then she rose from the lake
you named her desire when you saw what she'd take
an inferno of fire consuming black holes
atoms/particles/were tossed, and thrown --
she formed every thought she'd ever known
expanding inside a tiny black hole
she exploded rainbows /forming galaxy's in streams
and she expanded the universe just like a dream
when you were lonesome /you called out her name
you wanted, and wanted -- but she never came
forgetting desire is never tame/she's like fire
she only wants one thing
to burn brighter/and brighter/higher and higher
she responds to light from the heavens above
her name is desire
she wants, and wants -- she seeks love.

Collapse into the arms of destiny
Let them carry you wherever the wind blows

Do not resist, be pliant
Like the reed that sways

Trust that you will be guided
To that which is in season to your soul

Love speaks with one voice
Sometimes through the parting of different lips

Know that the displacement and nostalgia you feel
is but a memory and a foretelling of Home

Relief comes with surrender
The leaf knows this secret
it yields in acquiescence.
Take a moment and contemplate
the life of a leaf ~

Surrender is not defeat,
it traverses land far and wide
and arrives gently to its destination

Surrender is not weakness,
know your strength.
Your essence can move mountains

Transcend into a fragrance that casts its spell into the night
unbeknownst to the beholder from whence it comes

In your surrender is beauty
that draws you closer to the ultimate Beauty
and culminates in the ultimate Love

Love him, love her, and let your love permeate
like the scent of two roses, together in bloom

For centuries
my weary soul's
been swallowin' grey-faced spirits whole.

But the porcelain broke
between the lips
I feel dusky fingertips.

I have short moments,
one brief farewell
before I place my sins in hell.

Stranger please--
lend me your ear,
I've become what I most fear.

I know there's no
such thing as ghosts
but I have seen the demon host.

He is just a simple man
but full of wisdom and honor
She is just an ordinary woman
but full of love and candor

He comes like the light rain
so sweet to the soul
When she smiles to hide the pain
He heals it up all

He talks with so much insights
like a book that she reads
His words come like sunlight
in her world that she needs

He dreams of his light forever
She wishes for hers to come true
They hope they could be together
to finally say "I do".
He is her angel; she is his light.

It's raining when I saw him
He's not afraid to get wet
I called him but he smiled
Then he opened his arms
While calling my name

Come and let us dance
There's music in the rain
Feel the warmth inside my heart
Come on, hold my hand

We are two fools in love
But we really don't care
We're not afraid to get wet
I want to hold his hands forever
While whispering my name

Come, my baby girl
Hear our love song from the rain
Feel the love inside my heart
Come on, hug me tight

We are two fools in love
Yes, we are two fools
And we are so much in love
We are so much in love...
There's  much love in the rain...
