Treasured moments lost in time
Relived in dreams or nightmares
To wake with a longing long since passed
To sleep and be swept away to what was once forgotten
Previous happiness is remembered as holy
No anger, no sadness, no discontent
It is, after all, a dream of what was
Imperfection is reality as it was back then
Dreams sift out the ugly and unpleasant
All that is left is the sparkle of diamond dust
Twinkling stars of a happy heart
It is not wise to judge today by yesterday
Or tomorrow by today
The good is to be wrapped up and kept warm
The tarnished should be left to melt into nothing
Each smile stored in a safe place to be called upon as needed
Today's treasured moments are tomorrow's dreams

I might be ******* if you ever find all of my poetry about you.

If only my broken heart
could remember
to forget you

A poet's heart has called to me
Beckoning, I come willingly
A soul so open I can see
The imperfections
Reflecting mine in harmony
Shining reflection

So bare and raw from years of pain
Scorched from all the dragons slain
Still, a peaceful core remains
With hopeful of laughter
Seeking love without disdain
For ever after

Through the blood poured on a page
Soaked from all the tears of rage
Gathered wisdom of a sage
The words are calling
Freeing birds from in a cage
No fear of falling

To the Scribe:  I offer you
An honest soul to shelter you
There is nothing left for you to do
Your words have won me
Wounds have healed, and hearts renewed
Bestowed upon thee

So take my humble offering
Hold it close and hear it sing
Perhaps some very special things
We'll brew together
As souls are tied upon a string
Forever tethered

With words so strong to pull me in
Bleeding tears right through the skin
Boring passion deep within
We have united
Lovers heat burns oxygen
Through words requited

When you stole my heart,
I didn't want it back

You’re not going to be a girl who’s in the same situation I am. You’re not going to be a girl who’s been single her whole life. You’re not going to be a girl who’s continually falling in love with someone who’s already taken. You’re not going to be a girl losing hope.

You’re going to be a girl who’s been in multiple relationships. A girl who may even be in a current relationship. You’re going to be a girl who’s grown from your past relationships. You’re going to be a girl who’s not looking for me.

When we do meet, I’ll be the boy who’s always dreamed about having a relationship. I’ll be the boy who’s only experienced relationships through watching movies. I’ll be the boy wanting to hold you in my arms every chance that I get. I’ll be the boy who’s patiently waited for the opportunity to say the words “I love you.” I’ll be the boy who ends up being your last boyfriend.

Love,

Me

Personal space bled
Alone in a crowded room
You are everything

Forever haunted by the words you say.
Forever haunted since you've gone away.

for you

Never have I seen you,
or touched thy breeze-smoothed skin,
caressed the rounded angles of thy cheekbones,
with the worn~smooth heel of my thumb

it matters not

for long and forlorn,
have I come to love you

fat or pretty,
your physicality is inconsequential,
we have bound and blind~binded
our visible connection
by oaths and contemplations,
all codified in worthy action verbs
whispered in each other ears

we have spent our nodules of time
silently caressing,
word gentling,
and falling in love

this night has brought me
no sleep,
this day has brought me
no pecuniary relief

but words embellish me with hope,
dress and drape my face with
coming attractions,
for that alone,
as if more were
even possible,*
I tell you this
straight out and unconfused,

I adore you

we are a lyric, a harmony,
an aesthetic unique,
for you have never seen my face,
yet this night,
thy comeliness has
stirred and up lifted,
thy tone and tiny gasps
my sundered parts
refilled and reattached with our own esprit de corps,
ethereal, ephemeral, yet so real,
I raise them,
to my lips,
and feel you as I do so,
gentling my cheeks
with your breathes breeze,
asking me live with joy....
tho never have I seen you

Please.......
Stop talking
For I cannot be who you need me to be
I cannot be who you love
For I am neither wind, nor rain, nor summer sun
I cannot light your nights like a full moon and it's glittering counterparts

Please.......
Stop talking
For I cannot be what you see in me
I cannot be who you love
For I am neither Princess, nor Queen, nor damsel  in distress
I cannot save you and I do not want to be saved

Please.......
Stop talking
For I cannot be the she in your dreams
I cannot be who you love
I encompass no fancy tales of enchantment
I cannot promise an ending full of happiness; I can only promise an ending

Please.......
Stop talking
For I cannot be your fantasy
I cannot be who you love
For I am just a girl inside a woman, I am less a lady than you deserve
And despite my honest words, my heart pleads

Please.......
Don't ever cease

I wrote a poem of love.
I wrote of you. I tried. But the words would not come.
I am not a poet.
This is not my poem of love.
Rather words written and meanings lost.
You are my poem of love.
I write you with every breath.

I hurt a man
Out of insensitivity
I hurt a man
Through thoughtless pride
I hurt a man
With my inner truths
I hurt a man
With insecurities
I hurt a man
Thinking he didn't care
I hurt a man
Who is my friend
I hurt a man
Who thought he loved me
I hurt a man
