Yes it helps
Your attraction
As I do have
But Brain
Is always the winner
I wouldn't
Wanna be anybody
Else
Heyyy

He didn’t love her for her body.

He loved her for the way she belted out the wrong lyrics while blasting music driving down the highway.

He loved her for the way her eyes brightened like stars on a cloudless night when she saw him.

He loved her for the way she twirled around in her pretty blue dress, barefoot on the soft grass.

He loved her for the way she fumbled over the piano keys, creating a barely recognizable melody.

He loved her for the way she woke up on an early morning, all grumpy and confused, wrapped up tight in a blanket.

He loved her for the way she splashes around in the ocean, kicking the water at him and motioning for him to join her.

He loved her for the way she loved him.

He didn’t love her for her body.

He loved her for her careless, sloppy soul.
I'm not crying because I am sad.
Sometimes the love I carry and receive from others is so overwhelming
that my body needs a way to release it somehow.
My body chose tears.
Their happy tears.

Music has started
To physically move me
In ways
I never knew
Could be.

Two little hands, two little feet
two hearts beat inside of me.
Ten fingers, ten toes
who will you be God only knows.
I pray you'll have a smart mind.
I pray you will treat people kind.
All I know for sure is little one you
are mine.
I pray when I grow old,
you will remember what you where told.
I can't wait until it is you I can hold.
I will teach you all you need to know.
I will watch you play and grow, happily.
I can hardly wait for the day, that it is you I will first see.
Your mommy I will always be.

Fourteen years ago on this Hallowed Eve
you joined ancestors and fellow poets,
traveling through time, and into God's light.

Always one to find meaning in your days,
perhaps you chose your last one too,
even after months of summoning
all the bravery within you.

Honoring both saints and magical living
especially in our childhood,
even a velvet mermaid's tail
embroidered with shining sequins
manifested in your deft and giving hands.

You are always with us now, Ma/Patt
even as you are always missed.

Today, your long auburn hair that never turned white
tumbles over a deep blue satin costume,
embroidered with silvery stars.

Your generous, enduring smile
is so at home, beloved Ma,
in the Heavenly company
of God's own angels.
My beloved mother made her transition into the Light of God on Hallowed Evening afternoon, October 31, 2001

Wrapped up tight,
held in your light.

Find me now, vaulting through these years of loving
that only you and I have ever known.

Only this brimming, milky
sweetness...

Beyond familiarity, you and me, tumbling
again through lifetimes of just knowing,
fully feeling, without ever calling.

Held in your light,
wrapped up tight.

Only our brimming, milky sweetness,
eyes closed, and minds wide open...

Wrapped up in your light,
held so tight, dear full moon,
my own cocoon.

There are millions of stars out there but we need to look beyond the horizon for our one and only star.

I just wanna be me
Because that makes me happy

I wanna go down to the creek and dip my feet in water
Forget all the titles: Woman, sister, daughter

I'm gonna flash my pearly whites
And not worry if my joy is too bright

I'm gonna stride down the street with confidence
I'm going to accept and believe all the compliments

I'm putting doubt and fear to the side today
Because I just know, everything will be okay

I'm gonna be as carefree as the birds and the bees, the wind in the trees
I'm just gonna be me.

Let's sit on this park bench together
and watch the people go by
We can dip our french fries into our ice cream
as we laugh while we cry

Let's swing on the swing set
and sing obnoxiously out loud
We can lean back as far as we can
until we feel as light as the clouds

Let's lay side by side on the grass
and chase butterflies with our eyes as we hold hands
We can cherish the moment
where we pretend to be children again

The soft chill winds
a cloudy day
ah! what a feeling!
drifting with the streams
how the life instills!

Waves of song coming from the distant
white Storks flying as the fall guy
how the dreams come and go
between you and me
between the land and sea

In the sky rafts of white clouds
crafts the arrival of autumn
assuming the flame of Love
what a beautiful play!
what a fairs of tune!

Dearest darling,
Hold tight to that dear heart-flutter
Which we call hope.
For the feathers on which it flies,
And the feet on which it lands
Are those of sweet peace like a river.
