i knew i was in trouble
when i caught myself delivering a soliloquy
on the way your mouth moves all crooked when you smile
and the freckles on your nose

i knew i was in trouble
when your fingers just barely brushed mine
and that jolt of electricity raced up my arm
like your fingers were a live wire i bumped

i knew i was in trouble
when you started to show me pieces of your soul
through your music
your poetry
your stories
your history

i knew i was in trouble
when i realized you didn't break down my walls
you walked through them like they weren't even there
and your soothing voice quieted my tempestuous mind

i knew i was in trouble
when i found myself spending hours listening to you ramble
smiling every time you touched on something that excited you
because you lit up and got so animated
because your thirst for knowledge on those topics cannot be sated
you're like a **** sponge
soaking up knowledge and experiences
and ever growing as a person

i knew i was in love with you
when i showed you who i was
and you accepted me for me

and now I'm just hoping
that

maybe

you love me
too
"Put the thorn in my side, the coins on my eyes
I'm not awake, I'm leaving Eden
And all her frozen charms lie cold in my arms
Panic went away and left me reeling
It's warm outside but the weather fails to hide
the stinging loss inside
For in the back of my mind I always thought I'd find my way to paradise
On I'd walk to paradise ...

But grace and lies locked the door from the other side
And now there's not much else there
Grace and lies
In all how long can you hide, how long?
The cost of innocence is the loss of innocence
Some may pass away, but some die screaming
When it came to my time, oh it took me by surprise
Was it my mistake, or am I born for giving in?"

You love them
With all your heart and soul
Yet, you can't be with them
But you'll never let them go...
And it hurts...
Trust me, I know...
People... Stay strong
Someone better may come along
You're thinking..
"But, they're the one I want"
I've thought this too,
Still do...
"Unrequited Love: Life's way of saying you can do better"
But, even if you never end up together
You can still be there for each other
Sometimes, love can be one sided
Don't let that divide you
If you love someone for selfish reasons
Then you love them not at all
Cause when they don't return the love,
A true love will be there to catch them when they fall
Will care, laugh and respect every wish
Will listen after every date, hit or miss
Will wipe away the tears
And brush off the knees
Stick around through the best and worst years
Be a shoulder, when they need somewhere to lean
They may never love you back
Even when you know they should
Love's not meant to be selfish
It's about doing what's right and good
Inspired by Andrew
Amongst an array of dusty old recipe books
And a micellany of utensils
Stood a thin silhouette
Of the Sleepy Old Man.

Conducting a show
Of his culinary orchestra
Stirring,Blanching
Baking,Frying
Seasoning and Tasting
With that grace
Like a ballerina
Dancing
As he prepares the glaze.

He packs the orders
Takes another 10
And tosses a biscuit to a dog.
Writes a message
At the back of the bill
While drinking Chocolate Eggnog

A smile
Always a smile
He wears as his armour
Leading
A Red Army
Delivering not only food
But also a message to mankind
Feeding not only their mouths
But also their mind.
March 29,2014.
This poem is inspired by a restaurant owner, who's old and very kind.
He feeds dogs around his shop and also happens to deliver on his own.At times he writes small messages and sends along with the food.
How cool is that!
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a person's faith;
It's all in the state of mind.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster hand;
They go to the one who trusts in Life
And always thinks, "I can."
There is a forest old as hillsides
tall, majestic, dappled shades
fall on ground beneath the silent
gnarled defenders of the glade.

There they stand in ancient splendour
many souls have passed their way
often used as welcome shelter
from the heat of summers day.

Sweet the air they breathe in chorus
our life's breath their lungs provide,
soaking up our daily poison
so that we may live and thrive.

You seas of men intent to clear them
citing progress, peddling greed
tearing roots from precious mooring
laying waste to nature's seed.

**** the beauty of a landscape
displace creatures for your need
rupture fragile ecosystems
scar the earth and watch it bleed.

To you I ask a simple question,
as I see the land bereaved.
What need has man of all this progress
when he can no longer breathe?
