Touch

Ah yes, the magic of human touch,
Trusting to warm my soul's skin
Tis nature of loves connection, as such.

My body accepts, oh if you only knew
Like an honored guest, I grin
Anticipating the pleasures, one of the few.

Skin to skin, our bodies converse.
Uninhabited, my mind wander
Deep inside, my craving thirsts.

Artful hands sculpt with purpose
Lulling layers open, you're quite the artist
Soothing caress melt my body formless

I'm yours, silently, I surrender.
As my flesh cries out for more
Arching waves of splendor

Rewarded my senses sated.
With newfound clarity reborn
Mind, body and spirit replenished.

I thank you for your gift of touch.
Lovingly, I would return the favor,
as such.
Nothing is spoken, just being open to touch is the reward.

Silently I cry hoping no one hears
Secretly caring for another in love's affairs
Experiencing love's worst of weapons
Heartbreak ominously beckons

Silently tears fall as I lie alone
On the bathroom floor unbeknown
For there are no more words, no more lies
Only a silent tear that never dries

Silently I cry with images of his face
Dimpled cheeks, his kiss and warm embrace
Hopelessness ensues for the way he held me tight
Remembering he's with her tonight

I lay in bed at night beside the one I'm bound
Holding my breath as tears compound
Feeling the love I once gave and then knew
All the while he's with someone new

Silently shedding tears as my life takes its toll
Killing my very essence, my mind, body and soul
Hearing the words, feeling the crippling pain
A lover's secret inevitably ends in vain
It was dark last night
When we were on the phone
Talking about the recent law reform

You complained about how it was disgracefully declined
by those people who have always despised us
I said that I wanted you to know
that you have me full-heartedly inclined
to you. Although we don't see each other often, that's fine.
We'll stay strong together, because
we have each other in mind.

Then I heard you smile.

And it starts to dawn.
I wrote this last year when our lawmakers were about to deliberate the laws involved same-*** marriage but was postponed because there were lots of people protested against it. That upset me a lot, but I thought we must keep pushing or we're gonna lose it.

I didn't personly experience what I wrote, but this conversation must happen a lot between real-life same-*** couples. And I think it's beautiful.
My voice cannot be silenced,
for eons I've been dark,
a fire brought me the poet,
life held,
within a spark,

I've waited in the mountains,
I've drifted in the cloud,
I've divided with the river,
and my voice is pretty loud,

I am the mighty maple,
& I am the tallest cedar,
I've walked among the peoples,
I've stepped out with every leader,

I've soared above with eagle,
I've flown with every flag,
I've died with every soldier,
I came back in every bag,

I am the mighty heavens,
I am the rivers, lakes and streams,
I am in all you ever realize,
I am the wish in every dream,

I am a big ol' waxing moon,
I am in a starlit sky,
I am in every flower bud,
I am the thread in every eye,
I am in every sweet hello,
I'm in every sad goodbye,

I am the from bravest people,
& I am the fearsest one,
I am a savage warrior,
I am the shining sun,

I burn in every fire hot,
as I rage an angry fist,
for those who do not know,
why not?
this life a precious gift,

I've walked a million miles,
been on the valley floor,
I've climbed the highest summit,
& in the depths of hell before,
I've swam the biggest ocean wide,
I swam back to love on shore,
I always share in all I have,
I receive the humble poor,
I'll help with any needs you ask,
with an ever open door,

I ask not that you must like me,
or agree with all I say,
I say respect who is the person first,
I say respect the only way,
I fold my hands to hope that you,
you hear these words I pray,

I pray you show all loving kindness,
stop ignorance and human blindness,

I am me,
I am you,
I am us,
we... are all really the same.

Just reflecting ...felt idk inspired I guess. Thanks for reading poets ❤ from Vermont
People, they don't wish to see, or hear
Reality
They like only what they see, that is pleasant,
Their reality,
Consists only of *******
Parties, skin,
Thats it
Skin, and bone
No more,
No less
Silly creatures
Feeling nothing,
Seeing
Even
Less,
Yep,
Thats people

Heaven help us all,
And GOD bless
It's all just a wash.
