Sometimes we must be
Like a diamond, pretty and
Stronger than iron

She doesn't love me but she's reading my poems.
You are,
Everything I dare not say
The things that scare me to live
The sound of the wind that continues without me
And a couple of nights when I can not sleep.
Here she comes for a short while ,
i feel that love again ,
she's just passing through ,
with no concern ,
about how long the sun burns .

Going home
And nothing's quite wrong
But nothing really feels right
Trying to decide which to ignite
Either my head or my heart
A fire is kindling
Caught in between
What I want and what I know
Forever lost in changing my mind
We all just ask for one more night
To be honest I wouldn't change a forever in this bed
Although I know our time is ending
Maybe tonight you can make me change my mind

Sometimes I catch glimpses of tiny faces with hollow eyes that I can't see.
Passing at a distance through a nightmare as I sleep.
Their fleeting shadows draw me with them, to a place where lost tears weep,
for the forgotten souls of the missing children for whom desperate parents will always seek.
