Always felt a need to impress
Whether in front of girls or a benchpress
Never could quite fit in
Feel like I stand out even when Im sitting
Insecurities pressed ******* my conscious
What that takes me through is just viscous
Ive tried to overcome it all and open a third eye
Then I realized perfection itself is a lie
Now its just a matter of convincing myself
Letting go of the past and starting a new life
When everyone and Everything tries to shut you down
You just have to dust the dirt off
And pick yourself up off the ground

The bath water
is the colour of my eyes;
yet, I don't know
which is wetter.

dark hair, brown eyes,
She saw past all the lies,
higher and higher we get,
rain wouldn't even get us wet,
pills or joints. but whats the point,
I never reached her until she came to me,
calm and stormy behaviors just like the sea,
I finally spoke and her eyes awoke,
fear and love was in the smoke,
I asked about us and she was still,
realizing *it was my heart that she killed.
In 8th grade, I read a book for English class called, "Go Ask Alice" , It then became my favorite book of all time. That's where the title came from. As for the poem, I dunno..

Silence is not keeping quiet
because you have nothing
to say...

Silence is having a lot
to say but no desire
to speak...

we see the smoke
and hear the drums -

it gets old - the news
of war - no more glory

-  the dead are dying
old and young

- we see the smoke
and hear the drums -

living in our rooms
above the fray -

we turn away
like yesterday -

we see the smoke
and hear the drums -

another day.

maybe it was the bad choice
or the wrong words
but it was never my intention
to hurt you

so why
why was it so easy for you
to hurt me?

and in the end,
your words still resonate
and your departed presence,
haunting
