Drunk On Romance
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
The years we loved
The years had gone by
So I had discovered
The years were meant
For our love
For one another

The places I had seen
I thoughts keep
Stay with me
In my restless nights
With my leap from the edge
Of humanity

Drunk on romance
I blink and I blush
And every time I sip
I slip

My First Crush Committee
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Driven in the mind
Broken soul
She carries her body
Like her heart

She'll break you apart
If you come too close
Only to be too far

In her art
She paints the sheets
With the colors of the soul
Putting her lonely life
At ease

The calmness of the river
Reflects in the deep waters
When she thinks

She's my lady
And I love her madly
Love is for tender hearts and we are worlds apart.

Domesticated Serenity
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Roaring through the tumultuous seas
I found my love on the beach
Walking hand in hand
With the most beautiful child
Who belonged to the land
Of fire and crimson
With sun setting there was indecision
The sky was lit up
The night breeze shone amid the spirits
Of the deceased
I looked back at my life
I found a woman that belonged to me
And a man in the child that walked the sands
With courage and innocence
Because ships travel more
Than just move from country
To country
With a foreign place in the expanse
Of domesticated serenity
There's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it is sent away.

Shape Of the Desert
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Through the desert
Holding reigns of a horse
Feeling no wind for a boat
With a sail
The rains don't call to me
With my heart full of remorse and pain
The journey seems rough
But my place in the rain brings love
To my blunt shape
In the suns and sands
Of the desert
With no rain
The sound of my voice
Rings through the plains

Monsters Under The Bed
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Monsters are scary
There are sea monsters
That feed on fish
In flowing waters
There are monsters that walk this earth
To eat your soul before
Your inevitable death

And there monsters, smaller than the rest
Hiding under the bed

The last are the worst
Because they sleep where we do
They live among us
Pretending they are human too
When they feel clever
They sleep under beds
Unknowing of the monster in them
To scare you
They never show their faces at night
But in the light
And the monster seem human again

Northern Sea Storms
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Some places
Are diamond
In the lightning of the storm
My boat is hijacked
God won't leave me alone
Some waves give me hard times
The hail leaves a chill in my bones
My memory is awash
By the storm that came from North

Virtuous Owl
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
In the dark of the never-ending night
Instilled by fear
By the places
I dream of sound and sight
My mind oft' wanders
To many memories
Of you laying
In the midnight blue background
Of my colorful painting
With red, black and white
As Plato says
What is surreal?
What doesn't stay?

It's my floating soul
In the memories of a winter
That was so cold
Fog floated by my window
Hidden by the shadow
Nocturnal
That made the feeling so eerily eternal
Now I'll never see a tawny
True owl
Spread its wings in the ghost reveries
Lying in the backdrop
A clairvoyant crescent moon

I am simply shook
By the light
Of the rear window
Opening out to the shady street
Where the trees live
And the moon shines bright
To keep me in the wake
Of night blindness
During the dim days
"He who improvises can never make a perfect line of poetry."-Titian

Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Your love
Is drier than a desert
It isn't sweet without the "s"

My color is blue
Because color flew away
Like a passing wind that blew

My defense is

My life is black and white
Because my eyes go blank
When I lose sight of light in darkness

Often I remember

My right hand is bruised
Because I can't write the
Education that I have left

My left hand is bruised
Because I can't right
The wrongs that I've felt

In my life

I've felt sadness
Now she's left
She is quite sad and depressed

As I cry an epithet

I cut deeper into my veins
In vain
Painting it all red
And turning my skin into canvas
The deeper I go
The more I have to bleed
More blood will flow
As I bleed to uncertain death
She lives as a memory on my wrist
"I've never cut."-Me

Book Of Feathers
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
I guess I cut myself on the crossroads
And mishandled the mars bars
That’s my sordid story of obesity
Pulling many shots at the crossbar
From my cornucopia

Still losing at the penalty spot
Talents seem the best
Ought to
When shared with the company of strangers
And strangers do have the talent to read you
Like a presentable book of feathers
You may have the best adroitness
But the “the end” is
You’re just an altruist
Actions make up your reactions
Open the left of the page like Manga.

Shooting With Rage
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
She brighter than life suffers
Capitulating offers
You keep within
My name
My experiences
With a suffering compromise
My identity unfolds
As I relax
Myself
Keeping my goals
In the outlook of progress
I may hit crossbars
But the goal
The minutiae
All larger
Sporting of rage
Within a shooting carnage

Rhyme and Reason
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
In the cerulean
Beyond the empyrean
Sits heav'n
Amidst the ethereal
Kings gaze at the arboreal
Aftermath of a punished protean
Player in life's game of profit and ruin

I'm at the cliff of existence
Looking down at my friendships
And lack of innocence

Lies stare at my face
And liars and scammers hide their's
As I try find a trace of truth
In this world for me and you

Fields Of Fiery Gold
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
When I left you
The idea
I'd be someone
Who leaves you
Left me speechless
And blank

The transient green
Of munificent trees
Taught me magnanimously, money came
With the autumn leaves
Experiencing the barren branches
With fields of fiery gold
Leaves
And me simply speechless
At the sight of the capriciousness

Of the autumn
And I as I leave
Like a cool breeze

Auberge Du Coeur
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
The yellow lamps
Lace the streets
Avec une fluorescence
Mapping the feet
Of the yellow jackets

Lining the French cities
With justice and liberté
In their hearts of innocence
Pure de coeur

They hide in places
Shying away from the police
Nouer leurs lacets
When tear gas brings contortion
On the French faces

Macron must resign
"Demission marre de taxes"
In a democracy
The streets in tatters
The violence undone will leave
No traces

The rocking chair
Rocks no more

Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Purple smoke circles
Out of my red mouth
Making circles in
My pink tongue stuck out
Bringing a shaded sparkle
To the hue
Of my peach skin
Drawn in charcoal pencil
The smoke barely visible
A wave of monochrome
Forms crimson clouds
In white daylight for me
Color is the composition of calmly cool
Every color describing the beauty
Of you in the blue scenery
In my sketches of you smoking peacefully
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
There was a lot to take
From the stranger to this lake
Where I learned to read books
With pages as dry as they were fair
Cheeks as wet as the rain
Not despair just skipping
A page in my life
Tears the whole passage
As I rush to break the suspense
Of not knowing what happened next

Instead finding the mystery to life
My mysterious heart just died a little inside
Not seeing my friends and family make it past
The future that was I thought
Would last
Me for a lifetime among similar life forms

A Rose For Jesus
Aditya Roy Dec 2018
Bleeding God's light
Crucified during dark times
Bloodless red wine

I am Jesus
One with the world
Seeking kindness in every soul

Bread for the old
I bled for the blind faith
Three nails for Jesus of Nazareth

Follow me near
The Sun
Down the valley
Where sheep roam free

I am God's son, arose

Ideas are bulletproof
But prayers
Only promise God's shelter

Men are afraid of the light

That have the most authentic perspective
