Hey
From the ashes Nov 2021
Hey
Hey everyone, I was just
thinking about the
fact that poetry has
a long oral tradition.
Wouldn't it be fun to
get a youtube channel and
perform your poetry?
You are all so
great, I just wonder how it
sounds with the writer
reading it.
We could support each other
and promote our writing at
the same time.
I think this is another way to speak up for the art of poetry

In my fervor,
I decided That I
can't live With or
Without you,

Because the Night
is too much,
it draws me in-
the craving and
the sin,
it drives me crazy,
This Pride in
the Name of Love.

I must go Where the
Streets Have No Name

I willWalk On in the
Beautiful Day,
but you will always be
My Sweetest Thing.
My One angel.
Our love has always
been *The Unforgettable
Fire.
Here is my response to BLT''s band Challenge.  All words in Ittalics are songs by U2.

I touched the Moon
One night in June
And gave it to a bug.
He carried it home
All alone
And put it on his rug.

Up in the backwoods
Of Michigan, lives the
Traveling man name of Tim.
He's in a band, with a million fans, and I think it is a sin, that he's in better shape than I am, and I'm ******* younger than him.
Ever since he got bit by that possum, he will never be the same again.
I had a great conversation with Traveling Man the other day, he's a great dude, and this ode practically wrote itself. Long may he live

My girl,
when I ****
you
I’m on top of the world.
I become unfurled—like a
whale’s tail,
like a dolphin in a
sea of love,
your ***** fits me like
a glove.
They say doves mate for
life,
and swans die in
the spring,
you make my ****
sing, like yang ling or
whatever that panda’s
name was.
It’s love that
makes the world go around,
and baby,
I found it.

I'm getting goosebumps thinking
about my coney Island baby,
we're going to the boardwalk
and listen to some Rock and Roll.
If I'm blessed by the warped
east coast gods, I'll run into
Sweet Jane and score
some ******, the click that
makes this hell alright.
with a dime bag, this madness
becomes a perfect world.
This should be quite the Walk on the
Wild Side.
this is a poem for the Band Challenge of B.L.T.
the band is the great late Lou Reed.

I took my girlfriend
for breakfast at Ruby Tuesday,
We both had waffles
and I felt a sense of
Satisfaction from the sublime
maple syrup.  On our way out
the waitress said, don't be
a stranger, I Miss You.
At the time, me and the
old lady were homeless,
it began to rain, she
cried and said, please baby
Gimme Shelter.
Don't worry, I said,
I'm gonna come to
your Emotional Rescue.
She cried even harder,
and I said, Angie I know
it *****, but You Cant Always
Get What You Want.

Truth be told, we're just
Tumbling Dice.
But we're Happy.
And through her tears, she smiled
and said, you will always be
Under my Thumb~
Here is another offering for BLT's band Challenge.  The band is of course The Rolling Stones.
