Lying on the beach,
it's getting darker each time you blink.
Hear the colorful explosions up high,
the sky is in chaos, don't you think?

Forget what I told you,
leave those words to the tide.
The stars are peaking through,
my ignorance is wild and wide.

A handful of white rocks,
you smile like a maniac.
Breathing out hoaxes,
while I play piano on your back.

The fireworks stopped,
you gave me black rocks.
My blanket was made for two,
yet another startling paradox.
This is absolutely crazy. I can't believe my poem was chosen as a daily. Especially not when I know there are so many other, way more talented, poets on this site who deserve it way more than I do. But I thank you all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, liking and the nice comments you leave. It means the absolute world to me! :) <3

What does it take to learn that
naïveté is foolishness
disguised as magnanimity.

Trust is a poor excuse
to turn a blind eye
to the apparent and conspicuous.

Respect is harder earned
than it can be
carelessly stripped away
and wilfully taken...

What does it take
for me to learn that
we are only human.

And therein lies the flaw.

I'm ready
I'm ready to fall in love with the smell of the grass
And the sun peaking through the leaves.
I'm ready to feel the same growth as the daisies in spring.
I'm ready to feel the weight of the Earth moving beneath me,
Slowing time.
I'm ready to feel the burn of the sun and smile
Because I know
I've taken so much worse.
I'm ready to feel the cool cement on my back.
I'm ready to fall in love with those old songs
And the passing of time.
I'm ready to appreciate moving on the same way that
Birds appreciate the wind that carries them forward.
So I suppose it's fitting
Being born amongst change, mid-May.
I'm designed to evolve.
kinda positive one

I am a person tragically unfit for solitude
Yet I can’t get the feeling out of my chest that
That is precisely what I am designed for
yet another emo one for you guys

Nothing is insignificant.

Remember that
there are parallel universes
and each universe
contains infinite galaxies
and each galaxy
contains beautiful constellations
of innumerable stars.

Remember that
each galaxy
has a multitude of planets
and each planet
is made up
of massive volume.

You.

You are living on
one of these planets
in one of those galaxies,
surrounded by stars;

a solid figure
on the map of our universe
among other worlds;

a permanent location
on this figurative map
known as life.

Just imagine the disarray
you could create
if  you chose
to stop existing on
this galactic map of mine.
I suppose I dedicate this to anybody who reads it, because why would I exclude anyone? It isn't upto me to do that. :)

And I sat on his front porch,
watched the sun and the stars
appear and disappear.

I kept tapping on his window,
I kept knocking on his door.

I peaked through the glass
and saw his hair grew longer

but he still takes his coffee black,
he still leaves the big light on when he sleeps.
He still puts on his left sock first
and still plays the same Cigarettes After *** vinyl
when he writes.

He still hangs his ***** clothes on that three-legged chair,
still hates the smell of wine
and still smiles sideways.

Mother says my best quality is patience

and so I sat on his front porch,
watched the sun and the stars
appear and disappear.

I kept tapping on his window,
I kept knocking on his door.
I kept asking for my heart back
but of course

he still plays his music too loud.
