Pepper Dove
Nestled closely to my dreams
  I build castles in air
Dancing on tops of clouds
  with my tiny feet bare
I carry on in a way of grace
  singing songs with rapture
Hands twirling in the sky
  rose petals I swiftly capture
I kiss each one
blowing them back to the wind
My soul is too selfless
to have harbored all of them
In the distance his eyes met mine
  with a gentle smile
My cheeks turning to a cranberry wine
as he took my hand a while
Floating deep into the rising sun
  warm colors melt our souls
Poured into the open sea
spiraling round and round on carousel
Until washed upon twinkling sands
  of greens and yellows
I awaken with empty hands
  and a heart that bellows.
This was the very first poem I shared on Hello Poetry back in 2015. It is still my favorite poem I've ever written, so I wanted to share with you all again :)

Sun kissed
Summer glow
Beach rose
Petals spread
Beauty bestowed
For you my admire grows

She was probably the most beautiful,
of any woman he had ever seen.
She turned every head
and stopped time from moving
and movement everywhere she went-
His mind went woozy as he thought of her.
From what he already knew
she was not only beautiful,
she was smart and
an accomplished professional.
Was this a sweet dream?
If yes, he wasn't prepared to wake up from it,
no not yet!
Maybe she was just a product of his imagination,
which was impossible considering that she was standing before him.
She was a woman of exceptional beauty,
probably the most beautiful woman
he had ever seen!
Helping her to her seat, he was overpowered by something.
Wait,it was the scent of her perfume;
It was the mixture of something
he wanted to think he recognized,
which he didn't and something
he had never before smelled. It was nice!
She seemed so flawless,
He thought her bath was prepared
in the constellations by beautiful goddesses,
and her bathroom was the milky way galaxy.
Yes her skin was undeniably radiant,
accentuated by the presence of large almond eyes.
"Wake up!" came the weak old voice.
Bewildered by the old barn keeper's presence,
and momentarily unaware of his location,
he panicked and squinted his eyes.
Oh ****, he was asleep, this was a dream!

A dream can give a poor peasant a chance to be with a beautiful woman, in a pristine environment, living a life of privilege.

Who would think a rose so sweet
Would dry and crumble at the feet
And blooms that scent the night and day
Would steal a heart, then fade away

With petals soft and fondly red
Sweet essence fills an addled head
Then turns to dust before the eyes
Leaving naught, but sad surprise

Who would think such thorny vine
Could lift a blossom as divine
And by the stem on which it stands
Could so wrong an offered hand

Such strength and beauty is rarely true
A blessing owned by very few
As 'neath the soil, in winters keep
There sleeps a rose to tear a cheek

Who would think that perfect bloom
Could be a bane, a curse of doom
So fine a sight, yet in disguise
A rose to ***** and blind the eyes

I have no name to write in the sand of my beach.
I need my heart capsized again, shaken even by speech,
Caught in a storm of emotions, leaving me a shipwreck.
I miss your company on this deck.

Love, please return into my sea.
What is my poetry, if it's for nobody?
Is there something wrong with me,
Always trapped in this strange duality?

There is no spice to contrast this uneventful sweetness,
No pain to oppose my happiness.
But just like that, carried by the current, you float away…
I'm stranded. Please, stay…
Sorry for the long absence, I had to study for exams and then went on holiday. Thankfully, this holiday inspired me to write this poem!
Nighttime beaches are so beautiful... and painfully romantic.
To the other lonely person on that beach that night... hang on.
