A snowflake is when life and death
Touch lips~not to kiss~
But to breathe unheard words
Into each other's hollowed mouths,
Like a dark, unending woodlands.

It's hard to think about my future,
When I'm trapped in my past,
Screaming for some freedom,
But no-one can help me,
I am the one with the keys.

She shook the darkness off her face
and turned her face towards the sun.
raising her hands above her head
she says to the wind:
“I'm exhausted! but I have Faith"

Your radiance blinded my eyes
yet they didn't hurt.
Your words pierced my heart
yet I did not bleed.
Your fire set my soul ablaze
but I wasn't burned.
Your chains held me to the ground
but they made me soar higher.
This is the kind of love you give:
complex yet affable,
resilient yet comforting,
agonizing yet appealing.

It's composed
In a tiny little block
Add water
And it can't control itself

She's composed
Everything is fine
Until someone adds water
And she can't control herself

Her water is her name
Her water is her past
Her water is the constant reminder
That she didn't tell

Her water is not being able to love you right
Yet
If anything could bring her back together

It's you.

On the fourth of
Jewel eyes
Red in her blue
Whites
Turquoise diamonds
Exploding in the skies
I'm in love with my country
She makes me feel loved
When I wave my flag
I'll pay the tax
If you stab my back
When I stand for the Anthem
When the fires crack
And the m-80s blast
I kiss her face
Of the fourth of
Jewel's eyes
Such a lovely patriot
Proud of our Nation
American tasty pie
Red in her blue
Whites
I'm in love with my country
When I stare in her lovely
Jewel eyes

Stay here

Stay here
when everything says run.
Stay here
when the jaw grinds shut.
Stay here
when the breath runs thin.
Stay here
when you're out of your skin.
Stay here
when the drink calls quietly.
Stay here
when the voice says spitefully,
"you're not enough"
because
when it comes to this stuff,
running feeds the fire
and true healing requires
staying here.

I'm like carbon.
Under the right pressure I'll turn into diamond.
But if exceeded I'll break,
Forever worsened.
There's a limit to my tolerance.
