Did I ever lived before I was born
I'm 17 now
And I never had any girlfriend
But I felt like I had one.

Do you ever feel it sometimes
To hold, and to touch
To be held, and to be touched
By someone you love
Or someone you want
Or someone I loved
Or someone I wanted?

I don't know
If it's my memories
Messing up my imagination
Or my lust
Messing up my brain
Or did I really
Lived and loved before?
I never believed in such things. But sometimes it feels like it's real.

Star Gazer
I saw a flower seed
planted into the ground
and grew by starlight
to be forever dirt bound.

I saw a flower's first petals
So unspoilt, so pure
As I witness the scent
sprayed to allure.

I watched a red flower
go through photosynthesis
growing warm with sunlight
seemed rather intimate.

I saw a flower bloom
amongst a lamp post
under the light of stars
that lit up the coast.

I saw a flower in the night
its petals spread across
the seas coating the waters
with a little bit of gloss.

I saw a flower, so beautiful
so I uprooted the flower
hoping that it lived beyond
the confines of an hour.

I saw a flower, uprooted
from the soil
yet never once did wilt
or ever spoil.

I saw a flower so beautiful,
a rose that casted a shadow
in my heart, forever giving
me shelter and making me glow.

I saw a beautiful flower
a scarlet coloured rose
that could have made me
abandon poetry & prose.

...For I could not call myself
a poet, knowing that I could
never describe the perfection,
of the rose as a poet should.

...For I could not call myself
a poet, knowing that I haven't
learnt the words to describe the
rose that showed compassion.

I lost my innocence in a battle of wits
Over a dinner of boiled rice and fried meats
His debate ground my overrated intelligence to bits
But it wasn't time, I wouldn't call it quits

We went on to the starlit, moonful park
We weren't sightseeing, I had to hit my mark
Everything I said was turned down with a reasonable reason
The more I tried to win the more I kept losing

We walked and talked and I realized
That our supposedly romantic dinner had been politicized
As we stood on my porch and called it a night
His lips touched mine, I didn't put up a fight

I laid a final claim in regards to our banter
His keen eyes widened I'd given him something to ponder
Later that night, I received his call
He asked for a rematch, I smiled, there'd be another date after all

Surely
The day will be light
Darkness will be night
The wind will blow
While rivers flow
The sun will glow
As night creatures lay low
Why trouble incessantly
With what happens tomorrow
As long as earth remains earthly
All will come and go

I once saw a man with a lot of hair
Hair all over, hair everywhere

Just so much hair he could be called furry
I didn't take time to stare, I was in a hurry

But I glimpsed some hair on his ears
Though I spent no second pondering how he hears

Some around his nose and
some around his eyes
Much encroaching his mouth as if to say, don't tell lies!

His fingers had the most hair I've seen
I promise I'm not exaggerating just to be mean

As I glanced at the painting of the man with so much hair
I wonder if the artist's creativity was meant to stir fear

and
i don't know
if this is me
just overreacting,
but
the only reason it scares me
when the wind causes my bedroom door to slam shut,
is because
i'm deeply afraid
that
i'll get used to the sound of people leaving.

every wheel will cease to turn
every lesson be unlearned
every tide will ebb away
every colour fade to grey

every truth will prove a lie
every star burn and die
we will all be flying high
stardust in the sky

Mama, what is pain?
Pain is hurt
When what gets hurt, Mama?
Your feelings, your body, your life
Have you been hurt, Mama?
Many times
When, Mama?
When your father left us
Why did he leave, Mama?
He was in Pain
