War
There's a battle in my brain,
a never ending war,
two sides fighting to the death,
yet it feels like so much more.
I'm not the only casualty
but I'm the one who won't survive.
This fighting will never end
for as long as I'm alive.
A will to live and suicide,
they just can't get along.
It may not be my time yet
but this urge is just so strong.

You were
My sigh of relief
And now
You’re gone
And I’m sitting here
Gasping for air

Autumn's keen colors
bust out gold-flecked
      and lucent
A fetching masquerade
Til one day the facade drops
      The flaunting stops
And we face our transformation --
The body of real things

The cleansing verity of snow, yes:
We make our cold confessions
      to it --
Our sooth world unadorned;
      No high fashion statements
No sweet smells from the earth.

Just the white truth of being --

I have come to find
when I deviate
from my muse of melancholy
I revile my work
more and more.
Perhaps because, inside,
the darkness and emptiness
is a part of every part of me.
And pretending,
is not in my nature.
oops, my fairly more severe Dysthymia is showing.

Him
His face
The sight brings a smile to yours
His eyes
You can stare into them forever
His lips
You wish you can kiss them
His hands
You wish you can intertwine them with yours
His mind
It intrigues you
His soul
You can love it for eternity
His heart
It doesn't belong to you

Pink Skies

I watched the sunrise yesterday
It happened completely by chance
I walked down the stairs to get food
And gave the front windows a glance

And the sky that day was so pretty
All colorful, pink, orange, and blue
It made me reach out to my grandma
So that she could go see it too

I used to search for the grand
Memories, an adventure to last
Something that I'll recall quickly
When I try to remember the past

But lately my worldview has switched
And it's not a terrible thing
Big moments are great, but I think the small
Is what makes life worth living

I'm thankful for moments between memories
The ones that will often surprise
I'm thankful for life, and to live it
For love, and a pretty pink sky

Point the barrel at me.
Let me see my future
unfold right before my eyes
as you pull the trigger.
You killed me.

And the leaves alight,
One by one by one
Float, dance, twirl, in the sun
A bright and beautiful end
To a season well begun!
