Every night, I look up at the moon and the stars and I pray to the universe that you are too. In this moment, while looking at the same night sky, the distance between you and I doesn’t seem too far.

I remember the way I felt when your hand grabbed mine.
You pulled me through the crowd
The lights shining bright and the smoke billowing low
“Let’s whisper...” he says
The city is quiet and in the silence, I can feel my heart pounding through my chest
Will I ever see you again?
A stranger who knows all my vulnerabilities and, yet I feel secure and safe.
You kiss my lips and I lose my breath, feeling as if I am drowning, in the best way possible,
I pull you in tight, sensations I never knew were even plausible again, pumping through my veins.
Happiness to be in your embrace, immense sadness knowing we must say goodbye
Over 1,000 miles away-yet, I will walk every mile if in the end, it leads me to you
A connection…
I am falling in love
I am in love with you
Do you feel the same?

Strip me down
To my rawest form.
To my browns and oranges.
A copper silhouette.

Peel me away
Till I’m standing there
With averted gaze.

Leave me bare.

Strip me down
Shed all my layers, till I’m
Just a component.

Make me an idea,
In its first happening.
A dream yet to be realised.

Look at me,
Honestly,
Unguarded.

In my essence,
Am I good?
I took the seat across and breathe deeply
Trying to ignite the will to last the night to make it easy
Folios with galloping notes reflected my eyes
Ascribing them as you started rippling nice

Taking your place behind those keys
while I guard the front as it seems
You fiddled the catguts, and I learned their secrets
And as you edify, I got lost in the sequence

You exuded the decree to keep my valiance
I lodged around the shadows keeping my silence
Risking the chance that was left of me
As I chant the cadence with complexity

I ogled before you with such esteem
As my mind creeps alone towards glaucous dream
Wishing that in every thing written in the sky,
You will always be my Marshall and I am your Spy

The ocean
Crashing rolling in the deep
Turning stones slowly felt to sand
Beneath the feet, and yet

No one can tame the tidal crash
Where the waterways collapse and meet

Though many have tried
How the waves of time wash over us all
In the shallow end of this single life

Because regardless of fear, or the deep
So the morning tide will ever subside
And yet never live to see the setting sun

Just as the castles of our yesterday will be swept away
By the water pulling at our feet

So the ocean will always crash and roll
With a gentleness and honest swell
Resting calmly in-between
Each wave
For A Could've Been Friend
Scarecrow's burning
live in Technicolor
and there's now
a crowd gathered
talking in oxymorons
all frozen fire
and burning ice
but none of them
seem to have the
answers
or if they do
it's being kept
secret
because mysteries
hold ash better
than any drooping
eyelid on
the waves of slumber
borne ceaselessly
to a hopeful shore
