tides are higher now, flooding the paths.

he walked the mud, bringing the footsteps back to us
I will walk miles to meet you
If I know you’re walking too
towards me.

We must always try to meet each other halfway.
That’s life. That’s love.
~
the night starts here,
the night starts here
in the dunes,
fixed in time;
incipient waves falling into place,
their subtle purpose
to roll over and sing;
the fountainhead above us,
like it's above the shore,
attaching softness to a shell.

we blew on a dandelion
and the whole world disappeared;
love is a mysterious shape,
love is a remembered rhythm.

I have trembled
my way deep,
I'm a guest in here,
drinking at the stream,
seeking bliss in
the plural homemade kiss:
peppermints and orchid rain.

we please the night,
we please the night in interlude,
and it merrily leaves us that strand
of pearls called "good morning."

when you left
you took the color with you,
and now the world
is like an old television set,
with muffled sound
that grates the ears,
and a picture
that cuts in and out,
filled with static,
in brilliant black and white,
that's made more of shades of gray.
did your world get more vibrant,
when you de-saturated mine?
or did the color
disappear entirely;
slipping out of your fingers
to be consumed
by the void
where my heart
once lived

"I miss the color in my life"

I really enjoy this writer and authors  work
deer tracks in the snow
forget what you think you know
enjoy being lost
I feel so small,
yet so do the stars,
when seen from afar,
they shine through the scars.

And now I feel better.....
In the movie
There would be the sound if a projector starting up
And then grainy overexposed
Happy family memories loop
Not the darkened smokey room of a spy thriller
But something
Seeming light
That turns into
A chiller
The solid crate of love
That's is family and friends
Gets slowly emptied out
You don't notice at first
Regular Sunday dinners
Turn into Easter and Chrimbo
You loose a lover
And all those they were into
Some friends move away
Or just into themselves
A suicide
Handful of weddings
Familial pools
Unavoidably spreading
An ensemble cast
Dynamic and connected
Turns
Dour monologue
From Self pity
Reflecting
And then a great flash
As it comes off the spool
The celluloid *****
In the empty room.
