Reflection

A distraction from reality

But we need it to recap our morality

So is this theory, this action,

a burdon,

a sin?

Or is it just another activity to pass the time,

or make us grin

Once I begin a thought,

I have no idea where it may lead

And then I think another thought

And I cannot let it be

So the thought I originally thought is left to rot

Thus, my brain is never free.

So I ponder on this rotted thought

With sadness and with glee.

And on this rotted thought I thought,

No one else but me.

But than I thought you thought the same thought,

And I just couldn't see

But if you thought this same thought,

Was it rotted, or was that just me?

It flies amongst the stars.
Flashes for a moment.
Despite the left scars.
Holds a place close, yet far.

It carries the fallen.
From mistaken paths.
To reaches impossible.
And develops new plans.

It creates new countries.
Raises dead soldiers.
Stamps unsung heroes.
With a feeling of free.

Hear its silent sound.
Open up your eyes.
Place it in your heart.
Elevate from the ground.

It helps us climb.
Better than rope.
Do you see its shape?
It is hope.
i can:

flip a switch
just for you;
sometimes i do,
forget how to

flip a switch;
one day it's on,
then it's off,
and i am gone.

i get lost
when in love;
lose myself
to some kind of

dark energy
taking hold of me;
flip it off
then i am free.

something inside
tugging away,
causing me
to toss and sway -

with so many
wordly distractions,
and so many
wild interactions;

with such embrace
and so much joy,
we have no reason
to set decoys.

you fell in love,
it was with me;
why can it be so
hard to see?

flip a switch
until it's habit
give me patience;
i'll give you practice.

don't look away,
and i will not
look away
like i was taught.

you have me,
battles won;
no one else
can overcome.

flip a switch,
i will do.
flip a switch,
for me and you.
weights fall off

as we dance toward the light

another day down as we

wake from the night

as time grows on

it slows down with you

how could it not

with such a wonderful view

our future like the sea

everchanging and bold

but without some risk

a good story is never told

so I take your hand

as you grab my hips

and we both decide

to make something of this

My beloved, tonight it is more than perfect, the zephyr winds sing so
sweetly your name and the crystal stars shine like your earrings.
As the White Mountains glint gracefully, and the wind speaks
over our fingers, upon our balcony, let’s dance, my beloved.

Now over the thousand streams and star crystals in the air,
You can see our prayers fill up the milky rivers in the sky.
Below the lights of Christmas, before the blue rivers of stars,
let’s dance like the shadows and the circles of the moonlight.

Now dreams rise over like the wind and shine so easily
But time falls quickly, and worries fall away so slowly.
So let the rage of your fears dance around and under your legs.
For the world is falling asleep, calling for the colors of their dreams.

So let the tresses of your hair fall freely,
And the wind of your perfume
Soak up the flames of your heart.
Spinning like the starlight, tasting every feeling,
Let the steel blue sky and its stars fall all around you.

Dance wildly, my beloved, let's dance like the songbird who sings,
let’s dance forever, until we wash into the skyline of our dreams.

The spider, dropping down from twig,
Unfolds a plan of her devising,
A thin premeditated rig
To use in rising.

And all that journey down through space,
In cool descent and loyal hearted,
She spins a ladder to the place
From where she started.

Thus I, gone forth as spiders do
In spider's web a truth discerning,
Attach one silken thread to you
For my returning.
