HOPE
The door to tommorow,
Opens in the shadows of today,
So brush aside the path of sorrow,
And make your way

Changing your appurtenance,
To tackle your tomorrow with less scowl,
As you swing regrets into experience,
And channel through your scope

i wanna die
I miss you
I’ve missed you; and
I’m still missing you

I love you
But, you love him
I need you
But you need him

Why can't we be together again?
I want you back
Please comeback...
But I know there's no turning back

it’s tempting
not to love you .
with the way you love
its so hard to love back .
because you’re set in your ways
leaving me stuck
between your love
and a hard place .

I’ve never understood the phrase
Your kindness is your weakness.
If it’s weak being kind in a world
That is so often cruel,
Then I will happily be
The exception to the rule.

Metal, blood, and oil
plunged into the sea
Only at the hands of men
could this be
Beautiful things aren't here
for us to enjoy
Nor are they ours
to freely destroy
Yet to burn the world down
seems mankind's fate
Because of our love of money
and our nature to hate
Yes, we'll torch this innocent Earth to the ground
Till it's just another lifeless rock spinning around
And space won't remember us
neither will time
Our entire existence
an unspeakable crime
We don't deserve this place
and she doesn't deserve us
Our metal, blood, and oil
will turn her to dust

heartbreak is one hell
of a muse
and the bard wonders
if the captain
if his captain
is aware of this

that the bard could have
a muse before the captain
is nothing to scoff at

because, really, what kind
of poet would he be
if heartbreak weren’t his
first love?

and there really is a certain
poetry in taking the thing that
plagues you into shaking hands
and forcing it into a shape
that suits you better

maybe the shape of that
heartbreak is you, captain

maybe the shape of that
heartbreak
is you

“I have promises to keep,”
whispered sweetly in my ear.
I stretched myself to too thin,
‘til it seemed I would disappear.
Now I’ve got myself to thank
for every step I’ve walked away
towards the sun, far from you
into a promising new day.

The empty locket of my heart
Beats useless in my chest.
the gold has faded,
weathered by time and trial.
I could pawn it,
sell it to the highest bidder with
a sickly sweet smile
and the empty promise of tomorrow.
Still I trace it,
mind full of fanciful dreams
of far-off places and a
partner-in-crime.
A romantic at heart
beaten down by hardships of time,
place a ribbon on me now,
blue to match my eyes,
and I’m good as new.

Relax into the embrace
Soul’s embrace
All encompassing embrace
Of divine love
The oh so powerful
Feminine energy,
Breathe
Into the deep warming embrace
Knowing you are safe
Protected
And loved
Very much
