I didn't shed a tear until
yesterday.  Your memory
pulled me back
years of
the flood of
the days and nights,
the children, rogue
warriors in our battles
their  children confused
by the confessions,
the chest pounds
of sorrow.

Where you remain
under the guise
of husband.

I Try

I try for a gentle sound, to
say your name in quiet tones,
so like a bird having given
birth in a nest might not cry,
but would settle down to an
afternoon of birdsong, her
charge warm and waiting
for the yolk of future singing
be without requests having
no knowledge of choices.

Toxic people and environments in your own backyard
Co-dependents who enable without realizing why they do it
Party to what they know and not what they don't
Just when the company of a pad, a pen and a keyboard were allies
There is Digital Poetry to investigate and engage in
For what it is worth
Giving it a name starts the process

Wanted to fix you
Gave you all the love I had
It left me broken

Still if i could just
Save you, then I would break one
Thousand times, again.
I want my sister back, Crank...
When the sun is leaving
magenta colored sky
Brilliant like stars are finding their way before nightfall
Over surface of sparkling waters they go
Creating violet branches
Where water and land become one.
Nature’s wonder,
nightfalls birthcanal.
Twilight in heaven
and night falls.

Hard Rain Fallin

I know you don’t love me anymore
But I don’t know your reasons why
I know I’ll drown without you
I can’t swim in the tears you cry

I know I’m losing you
My life is slowly slipping away
I’m reaching for something to hold on to
My blue sky is turning grey

My heart is breaking
I just wanna scream
I once believed in love
But love is just a dream

Love might as well be just
A Drop of water in an endless sea
A heart even in its mass is just
Broken and useless debris

If you say goodbye
I won’t come back crawlin
I’m not ready for departure and
I’m not ready for the Hard Rain Fallin

Don't flee too far out of fear. When the fear is gone, it takes a long time to make the journey backwards.
