 Jan 2015 Gul e Dawoodi
Nahid
From south pole to north,
In all air I'll breath.
I'll choose to be a gypsy,
But never a smith.
With a pence or two,
I'll make my dream come true.
I'll walk, I'll run,
Under the warm bright sun.
I'll fly, I'll swim,
I'll be lost in my whim.
Under the wide starry sky,
Upon the grass I'll lie.
The cricket will sing a lullaby.
The wind will blow my hair.
I'll sleep with the happiest smile.
And I'll dream as much as I dare. :)
Notes (optional)
Every person I encounter
changes me.
Every person that I write
or have written to
guides me on my path to
who I'm supposed to be.
The friends that I have made on here need to know how much I appreciate them.
So Christmas is over for another year,
with a melancholy sigh, Santa sheds a tear,
cold and alone in his winter house
no creature will stir, not even a mouse
seeks the warmth of a flickering flame
in lowly silence, it’s always the same,
the incumbent darkness behind his back
the sepia shape of his empty sack
his crimson hat now hangs from the door,
the coat of fur slung on the floor
a furrowed brow is all that is cast
as he sits and remembers Christmases past.
Sorry just reposted this as saw some errors lol
What is hope
No more than
A condition of desire
And in desire
Always lies
A possibility
But false hope
Is not false desire
It is
To hope
Against hope
Rather
A lie of
desire
bravery doesn't
happen overnight
bravery
has been living in your
bones, dormant,
but alive,
waiting for you
to see that it has
always been yours
waiting for you
to marvel when you
see that you can do
what you've always
wanted to do
and be who
you've wanted to be
Desperate and drunk, I walked into a mosque for shelter
But the bearded men kicked me out from the stairs.
I got back on my feet and laughed as I asked God,
"Are you not mine and only theirs?"
Take me back to the beach
Take me back to my friend
Give me a piece of paper
Give me a pen
Take me back to the beach
Take me back to my friend

I'll write you a song
I'll write you a poem
Let the waves roll in
Let my mind roam
Take me back to the beach
Take me back to my friend

I listen to the waves crash on the shore
It encourages me to write some more
The sound massages and relaxes my mind
Keeps bringing be back from time to time
Take me back to the beach
Take me back to my friend
