I lay my heart at Your feet

Searching in the library of my soul
To find words untold (by me)
And to my surprise
Herein lies the story of my life
A written description of who I really am

Uncovered parts of me that I didn't know
Found answers to my long unanswered questions
Discovered my true essence
Oh, a lot of things now makes sense!

Sing praises in the midst of the storm
Leave the roaring pressure feeling confused
Like why is he/she unmoved
Be happy like everything is happening within the norm
Within the situation,
sing victory songs.

The times are rapidly changing
I guess it also depends on our lenses
The ability to perceive beyond our senses
To see into that which is not visibly seen

In this era where computer is the emerging king
Who not only drives our car but also our economy
I panic at the thoughts of its rulership
I'm often bothered about its dominion and authority

I hope our brains won't go into dormancy
While we sit and watch it control our entirety
Hopefully, we will be able to ****** the steering
Be the driver and not the driven

I pray it has the right cabinet
Those that will direct its power for our betterment
And not to our detriment
The thought of its future is quite worrisome!

Have you ever given your heart
But it wasn't received on the other side
It left you but it didn't go through
So, it is hanging inbetween like a lost parcel
Neither here nor there, uneasy to retrieve.

For every scar I have on me
I had to tattoo on each a crown
They are testaments of the battles I've won
I wear them beautifully like a dress
They are my pride and not of regrets

Just like stars in the night sky
These scars remind me to glow in the dark times
Challenges are disguised opportunities
If it doesn't **** you
It will give rise to a better you
The requirement is to stay positive

These scars are my motivation
They help me see beyond limitations
Turn winning into recreation
A constant reminder,
I did it before
I can do it again

The scars are uniquely numbered
Each telling a different story
Of how I rose from a place of sorry
To a throne of glory
I tagged my favorite scar
The biggest lie is impossibilities

Dream it, speak it, work for it
And it will be your realities
These scars teach me to reject negativity
And embrace positivity
They showed me how to breathe life on anything
Flip impossibilities to possibilities I am!

I gave Mrs Forte four fur floor mats in the fore part of Fall. All four had the same fault due to system's default settings set by Fox Fort.

He fights all his battles
with the consciousness of a winner
To the past tough challenges,
He's proven himself tougher

He's aware of his inner strength
And he will persevere till any length
I wouldn't say he doesn't have any fear
But he won't allow the fear hold him back

Needless to say, he's not arrogant
He's not proud not to ask for helping hands
He's persistent and he has high tolerance
He knows his victory is sure in the end.

Does expensive always mean reliable?
Does eloquent always mean smart?
Does big always mean fat?
Does wealthy always mean happy?
Does saying sorry always mean remorse?
Does thanks always mean appreciation?
Does 'I understand' always mean comprehension?
Does quiet always mean gentle?
Does philanthropic always mean owning plenty?
Does no always mean never?
Does active always mean healthy?
Does poor always mean powerless?

Have you ever met people,
Who are so insensitive when giving their opinion
Such people care less whether their words
Give you the same feeling as cutting an onion

They find it so easy to pass a judgment
Without considering the detriments
Relying on their words is like,
Using a banana peel as shoe grip on an icy road!

Kids are adorable
They have a heart of gold
They breathe out love
Until they are taught not to be so
Until they witness or experience cruelty
Until they see grown-ups act savagely
We teach them in words of mouth to be good
But kids will emulate what they see
Eventually, they are baptized in the mean society

I really love you
I lied when I said
I never cared about you

I had no idea what I was saying
You mean the world to me
When I made the statement that
You should get away from me
I didn't know what I was thinking

This is the honest truth
I'm opening my heart to you
I strongly hope you believe me

Every new day presents
new opportunities to
put a smile on somebody's face.
Little acts of kindness
can go a long way in
brightening
another person's day.
Make an effort each
and every day
to be an agent of hope
because what you do to others
will surely come back to you
in multiple folds.

What is it about change
That we often find hard to accept
Even if the old one was full of defects
Or if the new one is the old rearranged
We still somehow get thrown off
But come what may,
Humans will always adapt!

Does it really matter
That my love for you exists in three states...
My love for you is solid
Freely flowing out of me like a liquid
A source of power for me like gas!

I was once in the rough
Not everyone recognized my value
Just like a diamond in that state
But deep down in me, I knew my worth
And that was my truth that I clinged on to

Some of my own didn't believe in me
It did hurt to watch them leave
I almost joined them not to believe in me
Then I remembered it's my life to live

Just to make it, I took different shots
From different angles
I lost money and I lost sleep
I laid in bed watch my ceiling spin
I was this close to quitting but
I did push myself back on my feet

I would constantly say to myself
Gold has to go through fire to be purified
For me to be free, Jesus had to be crucified
The pressure to give up, I nullified
The zeal to reach my goals, I intensified

Nothing exceptional comes easy
I was knocked down several times
but I didn't stay down
I picked myself back up each time
It did make my skin tough

A calm sea never makes a great sailor
Amongst my buddies, I found traitors
The few I looked up to were also naysayers
Nevertheless, I kept my goals on my radar

I kept on pushing till I saw the light
I kept on finessing till I saw the shine
I was determined to do only what's right
Along my journey, here's what I've learnt

If life breaks your pencil,
Make two out of it
If people place stumbling block your way,
Make steps out of it

If they say sh*t on your name,
Make manure out of it
If they throw stones at you,
Make sculpture out of it

Whatever life throws at you
Take it as material
And carve success out of it

Flashback to the days when we were kids
After school and house chores,
We used to come together on the street
With our canvases, to paint our dreams
And the kind of future we want to live

Regularly, we'll touch up our paintings
Inspire one another to make positive changes
Our future looked bright in our faces
We watched ourselves live through different life phases

One of my besties started doing wrong
Getting high and using drugs
His amazing painting fading before our eyes
Before we knew it, he was completely drawn

Looking at him today makes me cry
His situation is very dire
I hope he recovers from this snare
And be the man of his childhood painting
