A wing
Carved of wood
An inch in length
Painted black
With red and blue details
Swirls and dots

Bought at a beach
From a street vendor
Selling hand-carved trinkets
Bought by her parents
When they were together
Before their child knew of their disagreements
Before chaos entered

The last good thing
Embedded in that little trinket
That little wooden Pegasus

The girl decides
Then places it in a box
Upon a soft blue cloth
The box; black with fern patterns

"This,"
Decided the girl,
"Shall go to the best thing in my life."
So
She prepared the gift
For her love

Meeting with him
Talking, spending time,
Then him having to return home
Seeing the girl in a few days
Forgot the gift with the girl
The child promising to bring it with her to him

Leaving it where she would remember
The girl goes to carry out her day
Forgetting it
Until she looked out her window
Seeing the remains of the gift scattered
Shredded outside her window
In pieces in her backyard
Her dog standing over them
Wagging his tail

Shock and disbelieving
The girl runs out to the remains
Trembling as she picked up the pieces
Relieved at finding the gift itself intact
The only thing ruined being the box
Once so beautiful
Now ugly shreds

Returning indoors
The little wooden pegasus wing in hand
She wept, her tears falling to the floor
For the last good from her childhood
Was almost ripped away from her

This last good
She wished to give to her love
As a symbol of trust and unity
To show her affection
Yet
It was so close
So nearly stripped from her
Almost swallowed by the jaws of a mut

This is true...I have no more words than those you see above...
it hasn't been sighted
in these rounds of  late
and it's not likely to
turn up at a future date

some folk who belong
to the bird watching league
believe that its species
who'd hold much intrigue

it was known for not
having an air born wing
it is quite possible it wasn't
able to operate the **** thing

a pigeon is its closest
living kin
but a pigeon wouldn't
fit into its skin

when answering the
riddle be succinct
or I'll render your
response extinct

A dragonfly glides-
Now, a sea of glittery wings;
Who has seen their nest?
Shadow Dragon Dec 2018
On four wheels
and on my knees.
Warm colorful tones
and cracking bones.
Up in the sky
and down to hell.
A trip I take everyday,
to feel well.
Foggy windows,
foggy minds
creating beautiful times.
Pulling the string
that makes me do things
which would make an angle
loose her wings.
She would forget to fly
and then peacefully die.

August was the month you were born,
Though we all know how you'd been thru.
Mama's cries are always smiles' shed,
And Papa will surely be on her side I bet.

How unfortunate it is for you especially.
'Twas for everyone to take whole heartedly.
The first breath you took most vividly
Is the last breath swept by God Almighty.

Our dearest angel now spread your wings.
Please do fly, our love, as high as you can.
We may not see how fast it might become,
Happy we are to see you flap them little wings.
I wrote this piece Nov. 22, 2018 and finished at 1:04 dawn. I suddenly thought and felt to write for our little angel.

Everything's gonna be alright,
Everything's gonna be okay,
that's what my shadowy demon says,
you'll live to see another festal day.
Let's be an inseparable friend and play,
I'll take your dusty sanity with me,
you catch while I fly away.
Your pure fear is my colorful wings, for you are my favorite prey,
I'll never leave you alone, so you better obey.
Please love, you don't realize, you want me to stay,
if not me as your loyal friend you'd be long dead, decay.
So invites me with naked arms, my beloved do not delay.
I am with you right from start, right from the deranged dark.
Those saying I am evil are the one who is going to betray,
they all will leave,
don't listen to them, don't get swayed
now with red heart, you must repay.
Hold my hands and listen to what I say,
I will be with you through your ragged lifetime
I will accompany you to your pray.

Tender fingers caress,
Ethereal wings sprout on;
Psychedelic flight!
Jabin Aug 2018
Caught in the snap of a wing
With a flap and a clap
And a sting.

Down to the ground like a stone
What a sound with a pound
All alone.

Watched by the flight up above
From that height what a sight
Of the dove.

Twists from the pain to the bone
Quite a sprain such a strain
Tragic tone.

Scooped by yet a net unknown
Panicked fret foreign threat
Worry grown.

Hope’s deceased from those eyes
Now a feast for some beast
No more skies.

Dress the break hurry fast
Half awake crushing ache
Make a cast.

Days soar by seeds so sweet
Seems so spry can you fly
Hoppy Feet?

Day has come grand depart
Slightly numb flutter hum
Flitting art.

To the blue build your nest
Cry your coo for you flew
Before rest.

Rainfall dream endlessly
Silent scream to the stream
Eternity.
You may read it differently than I do, but this is quite possibly the most depressing thing I've ever written.
