Blades of smoke pass through my hair,
Cutting; oxidising; as the smoke is slowly rising
through the tower of my power as I vainly gasp for air.

Cyanide, it seems, can comfort me a while,
as I'm breathing; screaming and repeating
smoky words into the floor's mute bathroom tile.

But my power is all gone; all wrong.
Oxidise: Cyanide.
Once more into my lungs.
I've been quitting about a month now, and **** is it hard. It shouldn't still be this hard, right? Jesus.

Control
A dysfunctional mechanism
But held by robots
Emotionless
Is classified as "professionalism"

Justice
And relentless prejudice
Two words in synchronicity
That enforce the "Law"
But do help enforce corruption

Corrosion
Oxidising parts
The very oxygen that we breathe
Helps to end our heart

Water
Our oft-polluted oil
Helps keeps parts running smoothly
With which we argue and spoil

Errors
The reason we **** each other
And **** ourselves simply by living
Tell me, would you **** a close brother?

Perfectionism
An impossible goal computed into the code of humanity
It's impossible to obtain,
So stop trying and give up

Accept your flaws

You just don't get it.
Pain is fuel for a fire,
you just haven't learnt how to light it yet.
Instead you just keep waiting,
waiting until all of the excess fuel has you
bursting at the seems,
oxidising and igniting an uncontrollable,
raging inferno.
-
You need to learn how to use it correctly.
It is an imperative.
Trust me.

Sand and the stone -
Water and the ice.
Flames before the inferno
And Air breathing Life.

The mud, stone
Thy Earthly Flesh,
The sand and swamps
Deserts and Rain forests.

The Permafrost (not so permanent),
The artic and antartic
The seas.
The waters dancing and
Ice standing still.
The molecules,
Not the state.

The Sun and
Swimming magma,
All the stars of the universes.
The Fire in our breath
And passion to live.

The Air fuels life
And protects whilst oxidising.
Suspended in the Air,
Energy scatters like dust in the wind.

Fade away only to be made whole.
A soul.
Born of Ash
From extinguished death pyres.

Lines,
Green, blue, red, white.
Keeping in,
Leaving out.
Confining and taut,
Rigid and wrought.
Keeping me in,
Leaving me out,
On the border,
Over the edge,
Hanging,
Alongside doubt.
Flapping in the breeze,
Dangling in the air,
Oxidising,
Splitting hair.
Over the edge,
Over the bluff,
Harsh, coarse, rough.
Barren and crumbly,
Numbly,
Numbly,
Numbly.

A salt lake in my eyes,
Right behind the lids.
Two briny pools,
Corroding my mids.
Rusting my soul,
Oxidising my veins.
Two briny pools,
Over flowing my pains.
You know it's true
we've all been here before
we were the things that crept out of the sea and onto the shore, we were the lounging dinosaur, the Troglodyte, the Neanderthal, the bones of us bleached in the passing of time, all these great things we've been and now?
now we wait in line for the food banks to open all hoping they've got plenty of *** noodles,

we're
pressing send and wishing we were there
oxidising because of the iron in the air
and
you know it's true
it's
written all the way through you
it's
incorporated in
your DNA
whatya gotta say about that?
hey,
wind yer neck in
you
think you're living
but you're oxidising,

got to get the lies in
to
make it appetising,
ha
it's only advertising
some other ****** junk.
