"newsy" poems
They warned us not to worry, Just do our best in school; Those worldly professionals, Taught us work-to-rule. They did a few case studies On twins from day of birth; There's a fifty-fifty chance, A will be born first They are urban fighters, Of fire, crime and blame; They live in high rise condos, They return from foreign lands. They  wait over subway vents, Their hearts and heads are bent; They show-up in walk-ons, They go without for Lent. They fly in and out of space, They don't identify with race; They're picked up for vagrancy, They dance cautiously in the street. They volley warning shots Across our private dreams; They sign and seal a peace accord They're sincere to a degree. They contribute to the run-off, And spiked our holy water; They enlisted Moms and Dads, Then slaughtered sons and daughters. They made rings from ivory, And pale lamp shades from skin; They list dissipation As a personal sin. Then they did unholy things With wood and nails, then atoms; They tore at our goodly earth, Wreaked havoc with their mapping. They distilled our alcohol, Made smoking so appealing; Then they rang the tower bells, And preached we had no feelings. They dug deep for wishing wells, Grew stuff to **** our germs; They bestowed us rods and reels, And spades to dig our worms. They connected us Through wireless touch; They counseled us on loneliness, And the traps of busyness. They pronounce death is art When they hang it on a wall; Then blame it on our women, In a scene based on our fall. They're newsy opaque, In love or hate; They are the ambiguous, The they, them and all of us.

Bill the bard was talking to me to-day Our chat did center on sonnet writing He said I should pen something exciting So a poem of that ilk I'll now display A new talent was unearthed last night On the seven television station She received a rousing ovation Her future in entertainment looks bright A recording contract is on the books She'll be a singer who'll have many smash hits Her excellent voice can reach high notes As well as that she has the most classy looks Bill and I shall enjoy many newsy tidbits Telling of her career anecdotes

Career Anecdotes (Italian Sonnet)
Consider the new dances not of this current newsy Riddle the wail of the police siren See how fast the robbers run And the crooks stay still Consider the new drunks of the prohibition revolution What are those sons o' guns getting loaded on? Most likely the lure of the fish stream which trickles far & fast Past three Consider the being not allowed to write the next letter Singed hair reaches up into the spreading air And she's gone Just like that Consider the heart in the shape of a telescope pointing to the ground What will the magnitude of a flash of red say? Anger sits next to sorrow And shares a shot and a drink Consider the days ones head is so heavy & ****** Thomas can't even stand still or lay in His bed Soldiering on through the thicket of the fog To hear the children play with the white dog Consider the eyes which open in the morning to see neighbors crying Whether they feel anything at all is of no importance The eye sees The mind judges Consider the center of a being in the jukebox next to the vinyl Blood soaked tear drop ripples of vibrations can't talk Up until you came in here I was having a hell of a time Consider the illogical reason of reason theoretical waitress schemes She wears orange to match Her hair, which she seems angry about Maybe the heat of the hue Is actually true Consider the yawning for an entire lifetime Reeling back the eyes to see Buddha, Jesus, and Elvis Playing Strip Poker Consider the communal misfortunes where tea is spilt on a biblical purpose Where the tyrannical pyramids grew feet, got up & left Sheik chicks see themselves only once In the dunce, then move on Consider the moving cars through highways packed in like graveyards Making a living but Never Living Consider the constitution wearing an earring the size of your eyeball Dashing yet sophisticated weak and ignorant Sprinkled with an ironic sense Of self-confidence Consider the birth of something new Being there and breathing Going through the whole ordeal Then dying with it

I know it isn't ordinary Aware it's not necessary Not a typical routine And something you may have never seen. But today is my birthday Something I do dare to share Because I remember it well I am not sure where I was born Was it in Texas ? Was it Vermont? Was I raised in Brooklyn County? Or maybe another country But for sure I remember it well The street where I lived was amused Or was it the street of Hermon? *** I am a little confused Where I lived after I was born But I remember it well. I exchanged messages with *** the newsy, Amalia and Dalia, Gallia and Talia And Peter and Teddy, and Geter and Freddy I met friends all over. A poet, a lawyer, nice pictures, and posters Young friends, sweet babies and also proud mothers I remember it well So Happy Birthday to me,
