Have you ever looked evil in the eye?

           I have

    And he winked

A tone as smooth as velvet

A grin of a boy

His lips parted seas,

of churning lava

But I saw a pool,

     to dip my toes

He splashed playful twists and turns

    Till I was soaked

And drops trickled down my skin,

    scathed by sin

That murky tank of burns.
This was on my old page & I didn’t want to lose it as part of my collection, so here it is.

I am picking up letters.
I’m grabbing words,
I’m threading sentences,
Stacking books up high,
Building walls of worlds,
Building mountains,
To protect my sanity.

I want to know myself
I want to explore myself
I want to search my heart
Exploring every curve,
invading every room's privacy
I want answers to unasked questions
I want accurate answers to rhetorical questions
I want to have conversations about topics that are ignored and hidden
I want to drink coffee with the Lord
and let him fill my empty mind
with wisdom to understand life.
I want to know what is pain, hate, depression, and discrimination.
I want to understand their origin
I want to fight bad guys
I want to succeed
But how can I
when fear is all that I know.
I want...

Sometimes I wonder what it’s like on the other side
Hoping your ok, don’t worry about me, I’m just fine
Yes of course I do cry
Wondering if your really ok
On the other side...
