Maybe 10 years from today,
Maybe only 1 year away,
Or even just 1 day,
I will be able to say...

tears
are the ink
for the pen
a poet uses
to write

Women need to,
Respect,
Love,
Support,
Motivate,
Pamper,
Educate,
Appreciate,
Accept,
each other,

And,

Women need to stop looking for,
Appreciation,
Acceptance,
Permission,
Respect,
Love,
from other gender.

Women need to teach their son,
To Adjust,
To Accept,
To Respect,
To unconditionally Love,
To Help,
the women in their life,

And,

Women need to teach their daughter's,
To oppose wrong,
To refuse dominance,
To demand what needs to be,
To expect complete respect,
To be a confident voice,
To be equal,
in their relationship.

I am a firefly
left out in the day
with no one to see
but how bright in the dark
when I am all luminosity

i'm but a stray dog
stealing scraps of life
from a bowl
that is your soul

The way you stand
The way you sit
The way you secretly laugh for a bit

And yet your heart is wide open
You think no one sees

But that is really just not fair
