Sleep suffers, while writing excels.
Awake but dreaming, nightmarish hells.
I close my eyes to rest a bit,
to find that sleep has robbed my wit.
So ever awake I'll remain,
till dreadful sleep reclaims my brain.
Poem, comments appreciated!

Wit
---
I do not fit
I do not belong
They could not get my wit
It's the right kind of wrong
Throwback poem. My first entry here in HP :)

Do you recognise the ****-wit the
one that takes it on the glass jaw.

The muppet on the string that clings
to the façade of ill positioned words.

Weep for the words that are constructed
like a three year old in nursery time.

Can you read your own reiterate its
confused like there many thoughts.

Play with there feelings, don't succumb
to the forlorn words they spread idiotically.

There is a ****-Wit in all of us, we take it sometimes,
but others are just ******* more or less.

Please forget schoolwork,
for there are heartier things,
such as your forehead craving these
good night lips.
You thoroughly speak of
entwining our limbs,
while I'll dream of seeing
my sleeping beauty,
and a kiss.
Although rhyme does not showcase wit,
I'm still the man that tonight,
you will miss.
Moonlight peers over a crest of visions,
or balances right on the cusp.
With daylight matters so pressing,
I'll press just enough.
Upon the small of your back,
your resonant blessing,
to awaken your dreams
with my morning touch.
Now go to sleep with the help
from countess sheep up above,
and by my word, we'll catch up.
In the early morrow, my love.
