Ileana Amara Aug 2020
bedroom curtains drape before the sunrise,
as i long for catharsis and hope, not beautiful lies,
staring from the same corner with tired eyes;
some old wounds demands a grieving visit as time flies.

Sky & Sea merge
In a magical land
With different hues
Of crimson & blues

Photographers, Surfers
And spectators on a
Rocky beach watching
A million diamonds sparkle

An Orange Sun
Playing peekaboo
There are days I go to the ocean to watch the sunrise.
Fayez Aug 2020
She dances
To keep warm

Hoping one day
Her sun will rise again

Pale skin, blue lips
She never stops

She prays for a sunrise
That will never come

Her world will freeze
Along with her soul
Some endings are inevitable
, and not all endings are happy.
Something pulls my eyes
up up up and around.
What vision of the world reflects
off my eyes?
So I recognize the smallness
of my life under a sky
that I can’t run towards the end of,
and also, the magnitude
of being under that same sky,
as it opens from all sides
to reveal the color
of morning.
Cox Aug 2020
I am the sun.
I rise, and I fall into a sunset.
I circle the world, only to return back to you.
