You were the sun;
Bright, warm,
Destined to destroy the Earth.
And that, I suppose, just happened to be me
- Nought
Lucas Mar 2021
Hi
from the night sky

We roam the void, devoid of any fears
Our blue sphere behind, a red one ahead
Headed to a rock so silent and dead
And yet, back home, there are cheers

Remember us as we make it to Mars
The two robots rumbling, raising sand
Sent to examine, excavate, explore
Plucking wonders from the ore
Wandering around the wasteland

A land of dangers and dunes and dark and dust
And crust and cold and craters and clouds

High
in the white sky

Remember us as you gaze at the stars,
For when times are tough and severe
As they veer towards war and cruelty
To peer into the abyss and, yet, persevere
Is nothing less than a lesson of ingenuity

Remember your Promethean flame
Its blaze, the bravery; its ember, the brain
With that fire you made us wings
This burning desire to be airborne is our bond

As we dare mighty things
With a yearn to belong
From the pond to the sea to the ocean
to beyond!

We'll remember men kindly
longing,
And hope, perhaps idly,
That mankind is coming
right behind

Clouds occlude our view as you
Hide
in the bright sky

And, still,

A blue dot ought to be there
To believe, even being small and pale
That it can dare to achieve such a tale:
The dark is not too much to bear

G'bye
from the night sky
They say hell hath no fury
Like a woman scorned
Well we have scorned this mother of ours
Like no child of hers before
We have stripped her body bare
and ****** her **** dry
We’ve tried to beat her to submission
and ignored her anguished cries

And even if humanity
attempts escape into the sky
There is NO way to escape
the father’s ever watchful eye
In outer space
away from mother
is a lonely place to die

And mars is not the place to be
For a resource hungry race
That couldn’t recognise true wealth
If it slapped them in the face
We are now blessed with abundance
But even that seems not enough
Infinite growth, on finite planet
Is a monumental bluff

And if we do not learn to share
and embrace equality
The primal world will bear the brunt
Of our ways of gluttony
The white man might be spared the death
That comes quick and without warning
But while everything around us swiftly dies
We’ll feel the heat and even rich men will start squirming
As they powerlessly face
their imminent demise

We are approaching our extinction
and aware of it
Yet those who wield the sceptre
Would rather not admit
and would prefer to line their pockets
while our house is lined in flames
They’ll have to learn that there are violent ends
to their violent games

Dominating the indigenous
the women and the weak
will only further seal our fate
which at this rate is looking bleak

If we don’t act before we know
we’ll reach the point of no return
In that case there will be no future
for which we all so deeply yearn
Now is the only time for action
To prevent the chain reaction

Perhaps this earth life was a test
Laid before the human race
To determine our deserving
Of even reaching outer space
We have potential to ascend
As a peace civilisation
But if it’s hell in which we strand
it is of our own creation

Though we have the rocket power
If our direction stays distorted
From this womb that is our earth
We’ll be the ones being aborted
For nature and the human kind
Were irreparably misaligned

Yet I believe we have a chance
to heal this earth
If we realise our nature
In ourselves, our inner worth
In my heart I feel I’m part
Of this nature regeneration
To rebel against extinction
And protect all of creation
I believe that’s what is right
This is the peace for which I fight

This is a poem to shake up people still sleeping on the fate of our planet!
We’re seriously thinking about
Landing and being habitats
Of a dead planet—Mars
Whiles we’re gravely destroying
Our livable and lovely planet—Earth
Our activities have been polluting and destroying our planet. Instead of limiting the way we do things to be able to leave a livable place for the future generation, we’re talking about conquering another. So, what shows, that, even if we successfully land on Mars, we won’t send our destroying and egoistic nature as a human race to destroy that also?

Walk along the riverbed.
You will come upon a nymph,
Aged and smooth
As a riverstone
Sighing and singing with
The water’s flow
Ask her, “How are you, Nymph?”
And she will
Smile
Up at you and say
“I am but a tired soul
In a tired sea
Of tired souls.”
Her voice the soft bubbling of the river.

Walk among the trees.
You will come upon a dryad,
Ridged and furrowed
As the tree limb
Upon which she sat as she watched
The leaves fall with the autumn breeze
Ask her, “How long have you sat here, Dryad?”
And she will
Gaze
Down at you and say
“I grow and grow old
With the tree.
And the tree has grown tired.”
Her voice the raspy crinkle of the fallen leaves.

Walk amidst the flowers.
You will come upon a deva,
Light and sweet
As the honeysuckle she sat amongst
Watching and humming with
The many bees
Ask her, “Who are you, Deva?”
And she will
Frown
Away from you and say
“We, those of us that
Belong
To this place,
We are Afraid.
And we wish to no longer be Afraid.”
Her voice the wavering stems of delicate flowers.

The nymph chokes on her sisters' remains as
the dryad is cut down and shredded and the deva is
forced into restrained clay pots.

They cannot be freed by one
but by the response
of all.

we ridiculously young
as species
what do we now about human youngsters?
they seems to be stupid and selfish
the worst of their parents

so do we are
as species
living on this mysterious planet we called Earth
but it is as Earth as also Air, Water, Fire, Ether
we should call It - Elements
It looks gorgeous and we call it Earth

we use it
like we call it
we **** and litter everywhere we can see
digging inside It in the search of the gold
or building trenches
or getting rid of the dead ones

the planet is our god
not the guy in the sky
It need your energies to be vibrant with hers
if you will connect she will gave you everything you might need

other planets has an impact on you too
they also can be your gods
but god you can be connect to
so closed as to Elements
is the most important one

everybody have own gods
it is in the one of their invisible bodies
along with physical one

...
You shaped my world with hands of stone then told me my heart is cold,
you made planets out of me when you only desired space,
my galaxy is without stars now for you took away all my sparks
but then I still shine with beautiful array because I'm the sun and you couldn’t put me out,
Why do you always write about  love she wrote, but it's you I always write about
Nicoline Fougner Jan 2021
The trees are my lungs
The wilderness is my heart
The waves are my song
The beauty is my art

The storms are my anger
The rain is my pain
The mountains are my anchor
The rivers are my veins

The climate is my fight
The roots are my feet
The sun is my sight
The moon is my sleep

The wind is my power
The fire is my fear
Humans are my disaster
So, let me make myself clear

Stop using me as your credit card,
My resources are running out
You are the reason for my scars
I thunder – can’t you hear me shout?

My heart is the wilderness
But there isn’t much left of it
Like a failed romance, I feel weakness
You have made my heart split

I can’t breathe, I can’t cry
I roar with thunder and I spit fire
I am sick, I don’t want to die
Rewild my heart and I’ll be stronger

this species
that has done so much for itself,
has done so much to itself
and offered so little
is it worth this all?
the planet and it's treasures
galapagos and great reefs
swamps, bulging with reeds
the birds, the trees, the bees
african sahara,
the amazon's green green leaves
would you believe it
that it is?
we will pay tenfold
with hindsight 20^∞
looking back in regret
but with a bittersweet affinity
