WAR
I was there because I wanted to be
better men had given up their lives to save those they barely knew
this was war…everyone dies
no one could stop me

Better men had given up their lives to save those they barely knew
I had given up my life to save my own…which I barely knew
no one could stop me
there were demons

I had given up my life to save my own…which I barely knew
my life had already ended
there were demons
but I was not ready to die

My life had already ended
I was there because I wanted to be
but I was not ready to die
this was war…everyone dies

I'm feelin' pretty tipsy now
Dancing to the beat, huh
Hey, sweep me off my feet
And take me to the moon

Dancing to the beat, huh
Serve me a martini
And take me to the moon
So we could eat the stars

Serve me a martini
And we'll run away, yeah
So we could eat the stars
Tiny bite-sized bits

So we could eat the stars
Hey, sweep me off my feet
Tiny bite-sized bits
I'm feelin' pretty tipsy now

I called her a golden goddess
As she walked up to me
With the sword in her hand
She cut away my fears

As she walked up to me
I couldn't help but smile
She cut away my fears
And didn't leave a trace

I couldn't help but smile
As she held me in her arms
And didn't leave a trace
Hypnotizing with her charm

As she held me in her arms
With the sword in her hand
Hypnotizing with her charm
I called her a golden goddess
I felt like writing another pantoum today.

Rockhoppers cry in hunger
Like you in that diner
A plate of fish, raw and cold
Was all that appeased you

Like you in that diner
Candlelight burning bright
Was all that appeased you
Lusting for more

Candlelight burning bright
Could not satisfy your gluttony
Lusting for more
Did the fish taste good?

Could not satisfy your gluttony
A plate of fish, raw and cold
Did the fish taste good?
Rockhoppers cry in hunger
I don't really like seafood, to be honest.

My eyes are dull
Darkness flows fast and
Steal my heart and
Fly away

Darkness flows fast and
They'll go avast again
Fly away
Just like the hawks

They'll go avast again
Tooting the horns
Just like the hawks
They've found their prey

Tooting the horns
Searching for love
They've found their prey
Bombs away

Tooting the horns
Steal my heart and
They've found their prey
My eyes are dull

While screams echo on the stairs of night
Forlorn and without hope of end
Charged to lead the dreams of light
Killing me slowly as I ever descend

Forlorn and without hope of end
I pray to soon forget these days
Killing me slowly as I ever descend
To halls of memory, to set them ablaze

I pray to soon forget these days
Charged to lead the dreams of light
To halls of memory, to set them ablaze
While screams echo on the stairs of night

Fists clenched tightly
Nails digging into the palms of hands
Jaw tensed
I am ready to fight

Nails digging into the palms of hands
Huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf
I am ready to fight
My hand collides against your face

Huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf
A smirk runs across my lips
My hand collides against your face
Waiting for you to strike back

A smirk runs across my lips
Jaw tensed
Waiting for you to strike back
Fists clenched tightly

when I heed the ocean's pull
I hear its rhythmic roll
it makes my heart seem full
creating music in my soul

when the mountains call
with their mist so softly rising
above their majestic sprawl
my dreams are mesmerizing

I hear the ocean's rhythmic roll
its gentle lapping waves
creating music in my soul
the peace my spirit craves

with mountain mist so softly rising
above gently rolling crowns
my dreams are mesmerizing
of that peaceful sacred ground

ocean's gentle lapping waves
licking feet, tickling toes
the peace my spirit craves
takes away my woes

above gently rolling crowns
the sky cerulean blue, a part
of that peaceful sacred ground
that lifts my grateful heart

ocean licking feet, tickling toes
enjoyment to the full
takes away my woes
when I heed the ocean's pull

the sky cerulean blue, a part
of enjoyment to enthrall
that lifts my grateful heart
when I hear the mountains' call
Tried adding to the Ocean Pantoum adding the mountains as an intertwined pantoum. I love both.
