The sun shall hide soon
Beauty as my moon pie shines
Eclipse of my heart
ross Apr 5
~

she is a flower moon
on a still summer night
filling the sky
surrounded
outnumbered
by an endless
ocean of stars
suspended in blackness
radiating wonder
her presence;
unlike any other
her light;
a perpetual glow
even without trying
even without knowing
you outshine them all.

Lo, another Ramadan dawn breaks,
millions more feelings of solemnity fill the air.
The time to bid farewell is upon us,
a moment both heavy and sacred.

O blissful Ramadan, brimming with purity and reflection,
when hearts and homes open wide, embracing all.

Prepare to leave, adorned with the beauty of Allah’s bounty:
Your movement like déjà vu moonlight,
your grace as delicate as the finest Muslin.
Let every rose from the garden encircle you,
a garland of farewell.

In the golden hour of dusk,
when Iftar and Suhur beautifully intertwine,
the sweetness of the evening fills the air, nourishing souls.

With a nectar of kindness, bid adieu to every friend of nature
their essence lingers in memory,
sweet as the moments spent in devotion and joy.

'Alvida' - a farewell not of forever
but of waiting until we meet again.
Draw the last stroke of parting on the canvas of the sky,
leaving a promise beneath the rainbow.

Parting with the crescent moon, hearts overflow with hope
O Ramadan, until we welcome you again,
let the essence of your purity and peace remain with us.

Farewell, O holy month
Your parting leaves behind a trail of light,
guiding us until your return.

The lunar orbit,

the decline of my body:

it all goes slowly.

Floating in the vast
A jelly is hushed

From the storms to the tides
Low to high
Pushed and pulled
By the current and time

It wonders around
Glowing in the dark
And end up circling about
Till the end of March

Where the time has come
For the one he preys
All hail the moon she praised

She twists and she twirls
Trying her best to navigate
Eventually she spirals
And lost in time and space
A lost jelly finding her way

The moon is shy
She likes to hide herself away
Always partly cloaked in darkness
But at the right moment
The right time
The right energy
You see her in all her glowing glory

In the days of Jupiter
during the age of
lovely intimate things

the abundant rain giving life
to a lactating mother

bloodletting
cloudburst

her magic ocean
and incipient seabright moon
together at the center of creation

all at once, and little by little, i fell in love. for the first time in my life, it didn't feel like something i needed to force or prove. it simply was. is. and thinking about her, us, the simple, the fun, and the delightfully mundane fills my heart to burst in a way that feels like a secure embrace and a soft kiss on my forehead. i love the sound of her voice, her long-winded stories, and her goofy laugh that betrays the surliness she'd sometimes feign to avoid feeling too much, too quickly. i am seen and heard and loved and valued, and it feels so effortless. never in my days did I imagine wanting to cheerlead and love and support someone so fully, to point it inward and treat myself the same. blues and greens and purples and pinks have never been brighter to me, saturated by the richness of each tender brush stroke in our ongoing tapestry. i love being in love and i love the woman that taught me how to eat the sun and let it go before the moon can miss it.

last night while sleeping
beneath the cosmic’s silver rays
a moon flower began blooming
slowly unfurling
the daze my mind is in these days
As fragrant whispers fill the air
I wander through a world of dreams
Where time stands still and all worries cease

I ask myself
“Why can’t life always be this pretty?”

Walking through my moonlit garden
of the rage that waters my inner peace
I am quickly reminded

Of how someone like me
Can only enjoy the beauty of life
And acceptance of reality
In my sleep

Dotted in the dusky sky
Spinning wonders in the eye
Glowing white in ivory
On a night of ebony

There's mystic magic in the air
With golden robes that you wear
Nights in white satin soaked
As in the sky, you gently float

What mysteries in you dwell
Weaving charms and casting spells
Kindled hearts each night you win
With moonlit dreams that you spin

Surrounded by a million stars
That hide and seek from afar
And twinkle as if on a cue —
Nights are dreary without you
