Lady Bird Sep 2016
tick tock strikes the clock
in circles two hands flow
counting seconds to minutes
moving just so very slow
year after year
all in one loop
round like a sphere
minutes to hours
a time full hoop
tick tock...tick tock
circling within the mind
the flow will never stop
searching for answers that
are so very hard to find

Life is curved
in the shape of a flower,
a curved trajectory
that loops back on itself
repeatedly until the
last petal falls.
Really a Calligram with the words outlining a 4 petaled flower. That helps to explain lines 4 and 5.

Loops within loops within loops
You got me jumping through your high hoops
And my hopes, my hopes are little scoops
Balled up by the pressure, dear

Breathtakingly, beautifully, brilliantly designed
Elegant, lucky lover redefined
Braver than, brighter than a silent star roaring, roaring, against unending night
Tell me that you need me here.

My mind spirals
Spiraling downwards
Downwards into hell
Hell is a welcome escape
Escape from the life I'm living
Living is a hell in itself
Self is all a dream
Dreams fail
Failing is inevitable to me
Me my mine
My mind spirals
Down

I have a vicious cycle.
It starts with being happy
proud
successful.
Then something changes,
and i'm sad and scared,
then I am too jaded to write about beautiful things.
But I always come around,
and I write about hope.
That no matter what happens,
I will always have hope,
and that drives me forward
and I break the surface of the deep water
finally getting a breath of fresh air,
and i'm happy,
proud,
and successful once more.

It's an infinite loop
a routine that I can't break.

But what do I avoid writing about?
What would break this loop, this routine?
