I've no solutions
Just questions with no answers
I'm at my wits' end
Dr Strange Jul 2017
Momma, I’m scared
I know you told me that I had to be strong,
But right now, my mind is weak,
As I imagine the world, you no longer exist in

Last night, I had a dream
At first, it was beautiful
You were smiling and laughing as you held my future child
Then, there was nothing, and that beauty became a dark abyss

The skies became as black as night
Birds began to drop like flies
A single wolf howled as it gazed upon its mother’s remains
And there you were

Screaming in pain and agony
Crying these tears that flowed like a calm river
Your eyes widened as you attempted to grasp my arm
Then without so much of a whisper the storm vanished, you vanished

The skies began to cry soaking my empty husk
The Earth crumbled beneath my feet, but I could not move
At that moment, I opened my eyes only to realize it wasn’t a dream
Rest in peace mother, I will never forget the promise we made
Just for the record, this poem isn't a completely true story. My mother just had surgery, but it was a success and she is fine. Thank you for reading

If
  happiness
    was
      a
        cake,

I
  guess
    it
      wasn't
        large
          enough
            to
              go
                around.

Either
  that
    or
      some
        had
          been
            too
              greedy.

Pitter patter pelt
Darkened clouds consume the light
Sun isn't here now

.
Seize today.

Because yesterday was a chapter
written in words, actions and emotions
that should never define this day.
Take it.
Own it.
For it's what you make of it.

Revel in the present.

Because all that had transpired
only led to this moment.
You can't change yesterday for today.
But you can change now for tomorrow.

Enjoy the now.

Because the second that has just passed
has no anchor on you.
All that is experienced will fall away.
Committed to memory and learning
with the dawning of next morn's sun.

Anticipate the future.

Because it belongs to you.
It will wait and it will come.
And when it does, it will be beautiful.
Simply because you're celebrating today,
embracing the present,
savouring this second
and looking forward to tomorrow.

Thirteen roses in a row
Red rain falls,
Don't you know
Down the window
Pain it goes
In the gutters
Through the nose
Where's the thunder
When it flows...?

(Chorus)
Wrapped around
The gauze that's stained
What difference snow?
The same as pain
When it melts
It's just rain.

Withered flowers.
Falling leaves.
It's a howling in the eaves
It's the cult the
Maimed believe
No one cares.
No one grieves.
Cover up.
Long jeans & sleeves.

Razors are a water slide
On track like
A carny ride
Over arms & over thighs
Release all
The pain inside

(Chorus)

It's an ocean
Where we sail
A coin that can be
Heads or tails
A lover's letter,
Or junk mail
A piece of garbage.
Holy grail.

(Chorus)

This song I REALLY want to release. Cutting is a terrible epidemic in our young people. It has almost replaced street drugs as the scourge of youth...

What is this line that separates us?

Why this lone tape that cordons our spaces?

Who assigned the thread that parts land and sky; earth and the heavens?

How is it that a boundary could be invisible yet bind so sure?

Which of us was given the right to reinforce... to validate this demarcation?

So what is this line that separates us?

It's reality.

Goodnight!

Love you all!

He voiced the words...

And the spell
fell clumsily from his lips -
unfounded
and rather obtuse.

But when he finally speaks
with his heart...

Magic bursts forth
and
the enchantment
ensues...

This is something I wrote a while back. I just wanted to create concrete poetry from this particular piece. Thanks for reading!
