Nightfall covers the world as we’re sitting together.
I feel your warm hand touch mines, smiling at me.
So I smile back, leaning closer towards you.
And for the first time-I close my eyes & begin to taste your pure natural flavor.
This simple kiss is a sentimental connection, sharing this endless moment.
Feeling the sensation of your lips across mine causes my nerves to spark.
Chasing down this liquid lighting, activating each other’s tastebuds-one by one.
Heavy breathing, heart racing
Inhale-Exhale...
Only to reopen our eyes, gaze at your face, & embrace this passionate moment.

You flew through me as I feel you coast on my skin
Letting the hairs on my arm stand as you send excitement through my body.
We touch
One body to another
Lips introduced
A tasteful kiss
Causing an immense impact
Feeling the connection
Collecting samples
Of one’s directions
Nerves activated
Excitement giving me goosebumps

Lay your head on my chest & rest.
In one ear
Hear the waves of my heart beating faster for you.
In the other ear
Listen to the elements of sound all around us singing.
Crickets are chirping
R&B music is bumping
All of this energy flows through a melody,
As our definitive love grows together through faith & clarity.

Rubbing your shoulders
While stroking your curly hair,
Your cherry kiwi scent
has me walking on thin air.
I softly push up against you,
The sweet melanin skin
Letting you feel me as I feel you
As a chuckle comes out and I begin to grin.
Happy to be your Companion
My life, my half, my best friend.
Because love tonight has been delightful
I don’t want this to end

When we're together, you put my heart at ease
but this still hurts, you're no good for me
Can't say I don't jump whenever I hear your name
because of you, I'll never be the same

I chant lines,
To test if they are viable,
I tell them “I’m fine”,
’Cause to them I’ve always been the reliable

ONE

I hate others
To test their love for me
I hear in different colors
And through them I see

TWO

Branching paths, one green one red,
One leads to salvation,
The other to the dead,
The story of the migration:

THREE

Wandering wise men;
How vain to designate themselves,
Devoid of any sin,
And lacking our spells.

Hands of Love
Hands of Understanding
Hands of Compassion

Ears that hear
Eyes that understand
A heart of wisdom & knowing

Unwavering & supporting
Without blame
Without shame.
Never a criticism given

You heard me.
You held me.
You helped me
Move through Grief
Toward a measure of Serenity.

My dear love
How could I ever repay you?
When someone we love dies, the saddest thing I have experienced is no one there for support. Maybe they did not know how or were lost in their own processes. It was not until now, at 63, that I have felt this unwavering love and support.

Blind faith betrays itself
in hypocrisy and double-mindedness;
the sighted sees
the blind hears
and imagined:
proudly believing it knows;
does not and cannot know
its own ignorance
nor tell apart lies from truth.

Boldly, in self-belief,
calling out and stepping out, to lead;
immediately, stumbles and falls.
blind followers no wiser.
groping and wondering
where the voice went.
