The Tinkerer Aug 2015
From the struggles, you retreat
Once strong, you faced them,
Now the fear, it breaks you
Makes you weak.
This weakness, it torments.
Tearing you, Tearing your very BEING

Once a warrior,
You'd take the challenge,
Lived on the wire.

Now though, you cower.
When the challenge comes around,
You'll only hide, run for safety, for cover.

It was a good run.
The future's bleak though,
At the twilight of your life,
The battle's worn you down.
All you look forward to now,
Is the tranquility brought,
By the *Eternal Night
Well, this morphed form something in my head, to the letters you read. The end of life itself is like the end of a battle. You're tired, you'd rather not fight another minute. And you're waiting for when you can finally lay to rest.

I want my words to be beautiful.
Beautiful like yours.
I want to see ordinary things,
Find the magic in them,
And put the magic on a page, for everyone to understand.

I want to have a way with words.
I want every poem of mine
To become a masterpiece.
Just like yours.

I am not broken.

But you are.

You see the world through pain,
And pain makes the colors brighter.
It makes the value of feelings
Climb higher.

Sometimes I wonder
If I should be broken like you
If I want my words to resonate
Like yours.

Sometimes I wonder,
If it will be truly worth it
In the end.

I wonder what it will be like,
To cut myself up to pour out the beauty inside me.

Just like you.

I imagine that you
Raise the blade
Slice your feelings open
And write your masterpiece
In red.
Can only sad people write good poems? Can only broken people find inspiration in anything?

Once lost,
Never regained.
Once lost,
Overwhelming, the pain.
Passed on,
He's passed away.
Never forgot,
Never forgotten, the name.
Never lost,
The visions, the claims.
Never lost,
Your Legacy remains.
Your Legacy, we celebrate.

The man who moved a nation,
With the courage of the heart, and
*The might of the mind.
To Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
From one of the 1.8 billion proud Indians.
May your soul rest well, may your light shine on.

If one is never fully dressed without a smile
Then I must be naked all the time
The black hole’s emanations attempted to fill the gap in galactic  infiniteness as all spiraled down to its new beginnings while residual harmonic vibrations honed the forms of its becoming .

The insect’s hum buzzed harmoniously almost melodiously in  syncopated integrated vibrations as it flew across the room , out the door and into the night sky .

The ship’s deck rolled and pitched as hurricane weather smashed and  shattered its empty hull against the wooden dock .

The blazing core of the comet streaked across the sky as it decomposed  in the atmosphere and extinguished its self in the ocean .

The blazing light of innumerable suns chaotic radioactive glair was almost audible like sounds of distant campfires as the last bits of wood crackled into embers beneath the starry sky .
