having the low down blues and going
into a restraunt to eat.
you sit at a table.
the waitress smiles at you.
she's dumpy. her *** is too big.
she radiates kindess and symphaty.
live with her 3 months and a man would no real agony.
o.k., you'll tip her 15 percent.
you order a turkey sandwich and a
beer.
the man at the table across from you
has watery blue eyes and
a head like an elephant.
at a table further down are 3 men
with very tiny heads
and long necks
like ostiches.
they talk loudly of land development.
why, you think, did I ever come
in here when I have the low-down
blues?
then the the waitress comes back eith the sandwich
and she asks you if there will be anything
else?
snd you tell her, no no, this will be
fine.
then somebody behind you laughs.
it's a cork laugh filled with sand and
broken glass.

you begin eating the sandwhich.

it's something.
it's a minor, difficult,
sensible action
like composing a popular song
to make a 14-year old
weep.
you order another beer.
jesus,look at that guy
his hands hang down almost to his knees and he's
whistling.
well, time to get out.
pivk up the bill.
tip.
go to the register.
pay.
pick up a toothpick.
go out the door.
your car is still there.
and there are 3 men with heads
and necks
like ostriches all getting into one
car.
they each have a toothpick and now
they are talking about women.
they drive away first
they drive away fast.
they're best i guess.
it's an unberably hot day.
there's a first-stage smog alert.
all the birds and plants are dead
or dying.

you start the engine.

Truly I have become sick of this place
Truly it brought me nothing but disgrace,
The fire burns me down,  starting from my face
The pain, is unbearable, just thinking of it makes my heart race

When I think I am served water they melt me down with acid rain
I have finally fallen in the deepest pit of hell, is it mercy I wont gain?
The torture here is relentless,
eating up all all of my skin it begins to slowly numb my senses
I would give up on lfe, if I wasn't brought back all the time
I wonder why I am here....for which crime ?

I forget the life on mother earth, the touch of hell is all there is
Of course, there isn't any bliss (in here)
That is, looking not so bad eh ?
The angels torture us when we are about to burn to the ground
There is no speck of mercy or kindess in them to be found

Stretched out as my skin turns to ash,
We get whipped, broken and torn into shreds...I feel like trash
If I ask for forgiveness now...
And cry out my sins the moment I bow...
Will I have found peace ?

i joined a sports team
because i felt ignored
and movies make it look like a team leads to
pirate, swashbuckling friendships
that leave you emotionally changed.

well, the other girls got that

i try to speak and they don't look at me
i bring in cupcakes and they don't thank me
it's only when they need someone to help them that they talk to me
which is not unlike everyone else.

well, it did do one thing that was promised
i have changed

people are as good as they are unfeeling
for every kind soul i meet
there is another that would happily leave me jaded
and i'm already cynical

do not speak to me of your problems if you refuse to hear my own
i want your kindess
and your fairness
not a blind eye

My stomach rumbles because I am hungry for your words
It's been over a week since we've spoken,
and I feel as though I haven't eaten in weeks

I drool at the memory of your words,
your sweet imagery of kindess,
the spicy, tangy taste in your flirtations
I can feel the cool, soft texture of your words on my tongue

Memories flood in,
of an empty stomach, a full plate
I would often ***** up words,
unsure of what to say
They didn't know I did the same to my food

Two different pangs of hunger,
but both cause a similar pain
I'll just fight off the starvation
By the time you get back,
I'll have withered away into nothing
eating disorder cw

Love blossoms in a thousand colors
It buds in our hearts and blooms in gestures of kindess
Petals that softly caress away tears
Envelope us in fragrance, the sweet embrace of loved ones lost

Humanity burns in six billion candles
Melting wax day by day, warming the world
So many snuffed out before their time
Some still living-dead, burnt out of compassion

A little boy asks what use are flowers and candles
They are gestures of love and humanity
Which do actually protect us from violence
for Paris.

Do you?
Ottar Dec 2013
We live near the boulevard,
Open a window and it is not hard
   To believe,
                    Do you believe?
Each year for the last four or five,
Some men and women in trucks drive,
     By our house,
                           Do you believe?
They now have forty or fifty or a hundred all lit in color,
Police escort, HONK their horns and drive my dog bonkers,
If you wave they do too,
                                             Do you believe?
Each truck has strings of lights to delight the roadside few,
Maybe out past curfew or stamping their frozen feet too,
Reindeer and inflatable penguins on a skidoo,
                                                                              but do you believe?
That human kindess and good cheer should only show up once the decorations are complete?
That what is generous now, will last till summer,
somehow, that thought should warm some feet?
Or like festivals, celebrations or such things seasonal are best kept to one time per year, call it    Christmas fiscal responsibility...

Maybe you don't believe in anything at all?
Do you believe in love thy neighbor as thy self?
Or do you believe in a story about an ageless elf?
                                                   Do you believe?

*
I
believe
in each, one
of you, can do
more good than harm,
it is true, if it is one mite
only, as that is all you have,
may it be multiplied by those
who see what you do and they
want to give, contribute and share too.
This is half a tree, my poem is sadly
incomplete, for that night
we all wait for and
attend,
will at
the end,
appear
almost
the end of
this December!

This happens, at the end of the trucks parading by in a beautiful slow roll past, they go to the park by the mall, and light the tall and grand tree, I appreciate this very much as to attend the tree part, you need to bring they ask you to bfing something for the local food bank!

And it was the kindness of strangers that pushed the cold dead air from his lungs and if for only a moment his breath held life again
Nicholas Fonte Mar 2018
What if I told you
I was going to **** myself?
Would you think it true
Or leave it on the shelf?
You always say you care
But what did you mean?
You are never there
When I start to lean
To begin my collapse
Without your stabilizing kindess
While she saps
Away my happiness

You
Andrew E Savage Jul 2011
You
You are....indescribable.

Your kindess knows no bounds.

Your beauty extends beyond anything of this world.

Your optimism and enthusaism are an inspiration to me.

Your loyality has never waned;

Your support has never ceased.

You always bring happiness to my heart.

You are beautiful.

You are wonderful.

You are amazing.

You are my everything.

Everything I ever wanted.

some of us live for our families
others live to be above their enemies,
freedom means we are kept to make our own decisions
the battle to live is still in question,
so i ask, what do we live for?

Could it be because we'd rather appreciate our god given rights
or to try to survive each and everyday and win fights
smile while you can, and push through today,
and worry about the future later
who will come down and take the role as our saviour?
the battle to win is still in question,
so i ask, what do we live for?

Is it the religous beliefs we are taught to abide by
or to keep our children giggling so they forget to cry
either way, the bliss is found amongst the above situation
will we all sustain a level of understanding and compassion
is it in belief or kindess,
we are all here for each other to eliminate loneliness
so the battle to win is still in question,
so i ask, what do we live for?

It might take a century for us to pick up the sword
its not something that needs to be kept on a score board,
is it the pain we all surcome to
i'm thinking its the mistakes we dont learn from that is true
so could it be that we are all modified to lack and forsee
or are we stored to never recognize that we need to be
i think its us to think and set our minds free
so the final war is still in question,
so i humbly ask, what do we live for?

who and what do we live for? To answer that question, is like looking through an everlasting bottom of a well...
