There is a ringing in my ears and the rain sings to me through broken shades.
I lie awake.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of you in the red light that comes from my record player.
But you aren't there.
You aren't anywhere.
I feel you in the shadows.
All around me.
I taste you on my lips.
When the light flickers.
So does this.

I am going to stop cutting.
It's done absolutely nothing.
I didn't know i could; never thought i would but now it's turned into something.
Whether an addiction, or a style this behavior is not worth while.
Part of me wants to stop.
Satan won't let those knives drop.
I am really going to fight because God has taught me wrong and right.

The most common phrase that people use and abuse is "I love you"
They use it with passion
They use it for control

It is a form of expression
To showcase our emotion
From the tip of our tongue
To the clench of our fist

Thats holds so much meaning
It holds the power
The power to fix
the power to break
The bond of two can be stronger
Or it can also be over

Only 3 words
That can give you a smile on your lips
And Only 3 syllables
That can give you tears in your eyes

A meaningless phrase until given a meaning
Full of headaches, heartaches, and
broken promises
But be careful
It can all sometimes just be a lie

how dreams do come true,
how wondrous it is
to be submerged into visions
that belong solely to your mind.

What they never speak of,
as if trying to forget,
is that dreams of wonder,
dreams of light,
can turn to darkness.

Suddenly, dreams of a perfect world
become the horror that we try
so desperately to escape.

Yes, dreams do come true,
but what no one ever tells you
is that nightmares are dreams too.
