Assume nothing.
Trust timing.
Remain open.
Build bridges.
Hurt no one.
Respect.
Smile.
Say Yes.
Expect Nothing.

Can just for one moment we stop by,
Sit alone in the corner of a coffee shop,
And just look at every passerby?
Every single one of them has a story to tell.

A reason for their decisions,
The consequences of their choices,
About their love and heartbreak,
Their dreams and nightmares,
Their moment of joy and glory,
The night they were weeping till morning,
The one thing they pray for every night,
All the precious things taken for granted,
The list of places they'd like to wander,
And the one place they often call home,
I believe none of them should apologize,
For all the ways they chose to survive.

And maybe then, just maybe then,
The world will seem to be a better place,
Can just for one moment we stop by,
And appreciate this beautiful sonder of life.

traces of being
Looking for the answer
I can see it clear as day

Hidden behind words left unspoken
Hoping jilted memories just fade away

Cast my smoldering ashes hither
Steal away with the gypsy wind

Roll away life etched in stone
Scatter silenced reverie far afield

“The hardest thing in life is letting go
Of what you thought was real”

We write poems about losing
And then some about loss

We spew out all these words
And never counted the cost

We empty our hollow hearts
Into inked pages and on keys

But the soul we have begun forge
No one, in their right mind ever sees

We dance with pencils and lines to thin
But the bigger picture is unseen

So we must look and search to find
All the things that lay in between

Stick me in the rain
And I will learn to sing
But give me an umbrella
And I will learn to fly

May the gods look back
On our rotted destroyed Earth
And see only harmony.

The sun burned to
Destroy darkness, the
Moon sought to swallow all light.
Yet they lived peacefully
In the same skies.

vote for nobody
because nobody cares
that you're a wage-slave
that healthcare is astronomical
and college is unaffordable

nobody tells the truth
about global warming
nobody gives a ****
about smashing the patriarchy
nobody understands that
black lives matter

and since nobody
has an ounce of
integrity it's in our
own best interest
to let nobody have
all the power

if nobody can stop
the endless war and
ubiquitous surveillance
apparatus that subjects
the world to invasive
violations of privacy
then i will give
nobody my support

nobody pledges allegiance
to all brothers and sisters
and organisms on planet Earth
and feels the weight
of each life crushed
by the gears of capitalism

nobody sits alone in
the school cafeteria
nobody begs for change
on the front-steps
of Goldman Sachs
nobody pirouettes atop
a Charging Bull

nobody stares
back at you
in the mirror

a vote for nobody is
a vote for everyone
"If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal."

zody rose wang
a synthetic wave of feelings,
you appear out of nowhere,
like a hologram.
i reach out to be adored by you,
but the virtual illusion creates a
retrospective,
a nostalgic thought,
perhaps a ponder.
